These are really good chisels is you know how to sharpen them I had to re ground the angles and glue in the handles but the metal is good way better then I thought but if you can't do that then don't waste your money buy the Schaaf tools those literally the best chisels you will buy for the price and the angles are perfect buy a power strop or make one but really you should have one anyway if your just getting into it it's a must I collect chisels I like buying the cheap ones to cuz some can be great like these ones

Edit 1/2021. They're ok. They all need sharpening for function as intended. Over had a few of the handle ferrules come loose and drop into the shafts, they're not well secured. It's an ok set for the price.

At first I was disappointed with my set. I received tools with damage handles, twice. The variety of carving tools in this set is great for a beginner. It also comes with a sharpening stone, which is an absolute must for this set. At the price point, you cannot expect to receive high end carving tools. These are not professional tools. LIke any chisels and gouges, the tools will need to be honed before use. If you do not sharpen the tools, they will not work very well. These are not precision tools. They are what I would expect at this price.
After receiving a couple of defective sets, the Von Haus sent me a new set (next day) free of charge. The customer service and response time was excellent.
