Didn't work at all!

I bought this after a friend told me he had something like it for his string lights. After receiving, I hooked it up to two sets of lights. The unit was completely unresponsive to the remote, even after changing the battery. After a few minutes, the unit got hot. I unplugged, put it back in the package and just printed the return label. I've already ordered another more expensive unit, that will hopefully work better.

Would give zero if I could. Works for about a 1/2 hour then shuts down - gets real hot - probably a fire hazard. Stupidly, this was the 2nd one I bought thinking the first one was just a fluke/ bad luck - nope they just suck.
Excellent dimmer for 2w led patio lights

Ordered for use with Brightech 2w 48ft light set. The dimmer and remote work well. It has a great dimming range with a bottom setting that is quite low. There are 4 present levels, and I get 8 more settings using the "-" key below 25% (which in theory means there are 32 selectable levels between low and 100%). It sometimes takes more than one press on a button for the remote to work, but it is great for the price.
Works Great with Brightech Dimmable 2W Bulbs 48ft

We've had it for about a month, and so far it's been exellent. We use it with the Brightech Ambience Pro LED Commercial Grade Outdoor Light Strand with Non Hanging Sockets- Dimmable 2 W Bulbs - 48 Ft Market Cafe Edison, and it dims through the presents, in-between the presents and even lower than 25% without flashing. We have ours mounted under a roof where it won't get wet and is less than 10' from the remote, so I don't have any issues with range or weatherability so far.
LED Dimmer that worked

This is the third dimmer I've gotten for our LED lights and the only one that worked! I love it. My only wish would be that they would go a little dimmer and that the control box in the cord was a little smaller and discrete. If your looking for an LED Dimmer that works for your outdoor string of LEDs this will work.
