This tool is good

This optimally shaped egg peeling tool works perfectly on 90% of the eggs that I've used it on. When an egg has a particularly tough membrane that's stuck to the shell and the egg, I sometimes needed to use my fingers to gently pry off shell segments to avoid damaging the egg. In my quest for perfect, easily peeled hard boiled eggs, I bought another device on Amazon, The Negg. When I used the Negg, most eggs almost peeled themselves. But on the particularly stubborn shells, after Negging an egg, I'd follow up with the Fusionbrands Eggxactpeel Eggshell Peeler, and the results were fantastic. So, the Fusionbrands Eggxactpeel Eggshell Peeler is great to have if you are a hard boiled egg eater. And to really up your game, I suggest you buy the Negg too. So for a combined cost in the ballpark of $25, you'll be equipped to easily shell just about any hard boiled egg that crosses your path.
Hard to find

Saw this, decided I had to have it. Very hard to get, everyone one else decided they had to have it to. Well worth the wait. Really as cool as I thought it would be. Cracked a shell like it nothing. Tool on other end makes shelling easier, what more can you want.

I was giving up hope when I ordered this gadget but it works so well that I wanted to ensure other hard-boiled eggmakers that there is hope of never getting an eggshell shoved into your nail cuticles again. This tool is perfectly designed to slide into the crack in an egg under the membrane and liberate the shell from the egg with ease. No longer do I dread this task.

I steam eggs that are not fresh (I use eggs purchased prior to buying more), then cold ice them in water, no issues with peeling. Usually none because there's always that ONE egg that's makes a liar out of me, but my success rate is greater and I simply eat failures. I'll pierce the fat bottom end of the egg with a trussing pin and put them into a 10 cup micron rice cooker's steamer basket for 25 min, then ice bathe at least 12-15 min. for best results.

I also purchased adjustable egg rings offered by this same company and LOVE them! I make great eggamuffins now and find they cook best on a Morning Star electric crepe grill as it's flat and gets hot enough to seal the egg inside of the ring. I'm stacking these rings with scrambled egg, seasoning, bacon, spinach, tomato, and cheese because they are high enough for this, then putting a silicone lid on top to help the eggs cook through. Between these two gadgets my breakfast game has been kicked up a notch and I'm no Galloping Gourmet. I now recommend both products for making great eggs. Experiment and don't give up on their working if you have issues. Sometimes it's only a matter of getting the right technique to make these tasty meals and the right tools to make this easier. Bon appetite'!
IT WORKS!

I've been looking for a tool that would peel HARD COOKED EGGS. (The many who slammed this product are making poached eggs, unbelievable). It works better than my very flat soup spoon I've been using for years. Using the cutter to break the shell and then slipping the "spoon" under lifts the membrane and shell together. I've never had an easier time. BUT, as I've learned always use older eggs. Fresh ones are heartbreaking if you want beautiful hard-cooked eggs.
Super Easy Poached Eggs - I highly recommend

I ordered these Poach Pods with a little bit of fear based on some of the reviews. The most difficult thing with poached egg "devices" is that they are difficult to clean and usually don't make great eggs. You should not have that problem with these egg poachers. I have cooked with them 5 times and all but the 1st have been perfect. Clean-up is super easy, too. My first batch followed the directions exactly. I used a little oil rubbed in the pods, brought the eggs to room temperature, water to a boil, and lowered to simmer for 5 minutes covered. I found the whites to be a little too runny for my tastes. So I adjusted the next time. I was able to clean up the pods by running hot water on them and scrubbing them with my finger tips with a little soap. There were a few stubborn spots. Rubbing the oil in seemed to just bead up and left a little egg ring around where the top of the egg had been. So what follows are my modified directions for perfect eggs and easy clean-up.

1. Bring 2 inches of water to a boil, add a pinch of salt just prior to boil.
2. Spray with PAM ORGANIC OLIVE OIL COOKING SPRAY 5oz 6pack , being sure to cover the whole inner surface.
3. Remove eggs from refrigerator and crack into each pod. (Make sure they are set somewhat level, to avoid spills.)
4. Carefully lower the pods onto the surface of the water, one at a time.
5. Cover, lower the heat. (The directions say Simmer, but on my electric stove that was too low. I set mine on 2 of 10.)
6. Cook for 6 minutes. Again, I found 5 minutes still left the whites runny.
7. Remove with a slotted spoon. Use the end of a spoon to go around the edges of the egg to loosen it.
8. At this point, the eggs should be able to slide right out onto your plate.
9. While the eggs are resting... clean the pods. Now. Don't wait until they dry out, this is the prime time to clean the pods. Just do it! By doing it at that point, I find I can just rub a drop of soap with my finger tips, scrubbing gently any egg that might be stuck, usually there isn't any.
10. Season and enjoy your eggs. I find with this method, you will get perfectly set whites and a thick molten golden yolk.

I do not notice any silicone flavor. I recommend cleaning well before using. And I think the key to easy clean-up as with most items in the kitchen, is to clean-up right away.

I highly recommend this product.
