I could have bought a full saucepan with 2 poaching cups for more than a dollar less, but I have enough pans and didn't want the clutter. Luckily I had a pan I could use it with. A regular saucepan would not have been wide enough. My one negative is that being from China I think it is very overpriced for what it is. A more fair price would have been maybe $7.00 at the most. It probably costs very little to make. I took a star off for that.

i don't usually like single-use kitchen gadgets, but this one is great. Fat-free poached eggs (well, almost; a drop of olive oil smeared in each cup makes removal easier). If you like your eggs firmer or runnier than your significant other or your guest, each egg cup can be removed at the appropriate time. For me, 4 min, 45 secs is right, but after a use or two, you'll find your perfect time.

Easy poached eggs in my 3 Qt Instant Pot

Always wanted to have poached eggs for breakfast and found them to be too much bother to cook. Thought I would try the 2 cup Eggssentials poacher - am I happy I tried it.
First try, we used the high pressure STEAM setting and used a 3 minute cook time and a bit of butter coating the cups. Took the eggs out as soon as pressure released and ... they were too well done for either of us, more of a solid yolk, not at all runny.
Second try this morning, toasted Martin's potato rolls, same IP setting but 2 minute cook time, perfect as I could get. Now I'm wishing I would have purchased the 4 cup Eggssentials. Maybe I'll try a 1 minute cook tomorrow?
If you want an easy way to cook poached eggs, buy this product. If you have any Instant Pot, it will fit from the 3 Qt IP and larger. I also am using the Instant Pot silicone pot holders - they get a nice grip on the poacher.
Love our new kitchen tool, now to start making a hollandaise sauce to go with the eggs.
