I bought this to replace my big straw hat that is so cumbersome to travel with. It is very lightweight. The bill is larger than a ball cap. When I didn't need it, I was able to fold it and put it in my bag.
Only problem was it can blow away in stronger winds. I solved that by putting a teather on it on the loop on the hat. VERY Travel friendly.

I wear this most morning when I hike with my dog. It's very lightweight and you can adjust the back to fit as snug as you like. I can wear my hair in a bun or a pony tail or straight and it fits great. The brim is extra wide so it blocks most of the sun down to my chin. I will and do recommend this to all of my friends. The fabric is very easy to clean. I like to clean by hand every week or so and hang to dry although I don't think you would have a problem putting it on a gentle cycle in the wash. I am buying two more for my daughters. We are going on a 10 day rafting trip down the Grand Canyon next summer and this is the hat that I am confident will protect them from too much sun exposure. It comes with a detachable and adjustable chin cord. I have mine off currently but will put it back on for the trip to keep it from flying off my head. For the ten dollars or so, it's a great buy.

I was looking for a 50 spf hat that can support a bun and this hat is PERFECT! Unlike other hats, the hole for the ponytail is LARGE, so I don't have to fuss with taking off the clip or bun to make my head fit inside the hat"”just put it on and go!

Additionally, it's lightweight, the visor is fairly large"”yet not too large that it obstructs vision, foldable, can adjust to the circumference of your head with the Velcro strap at the back (unlike a garter like I've seen on another version), and bonus"”comes with a hat strap in case it's windy or if you want to hang it around your neck!

And for the price, it's surprisingly made pretty well. The nylon material it's made of seems quality, and it's lined with mesh.

The only thing I'm not too fond of is the colorful print on the underside of the visor. Also, if you put your hair way on top of your head, it may actually not work very well. But given how I wear my hair, honestly, the pros far outweigh that detail, especially the price"”given all of the pros you cannot beat that!

I bought 5 different styles and brands of this sort of visor, returned the others and kept this one.

I use this when I'm running and I've come to love it. (At first, I was a little self conscious bc it's kinda big, but hey, that's the tradeoff of protected skin!) It's lightweight, but keeps its shape without collapsing, stays on REALLY WELL in the wind, rain, etc. and has an adjustable velcro tab in back. I have a small head, just for reference. I wish it were covered completely over the top. (Exposes some hair on back of head). I color my hair and hope the sun doesn't bleach it out. I took one star off bc of that. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars:))
