Seriously, this thing rocks. It writes so well and for so long. I own another beautiful "˜dip pen' with a bright red feather on it but for years I've hardly used it and keep it as more of a mantle piece because it doesn't hold the ink very long. But this one here is functional. It is glass though so it feels quite fragile. Would like to buy one or two more for "backup" in case it breaks. Very beautiful.

The product is good overall, but for smoother writing experience (and less paper feedback), tweak the tip of the pen with 1000+ grit sand paper, submerged in water.

Can't lie, it was an impulse buy. I needed a dip pen for my white ink and every dip pen was ugly as sin. Settled on this since I've never had a glass pen and decided to see what it was all about. Could most definitely be my ink since i think the white that i have doesn't flow as good as other ink, but it kept clogging up and needing help to get the flow going again. The tip is also very sharp, so beware heavy handers. Also, it's a lot lighter than i expected. Feels comfortable to hold and use for longer pieces.

I used them in watercolor. I need to use them for dipping. I did test it out as soon as it arrived. I may use mostly for ink since I use tubes of watercolor not liquid watercolors in a glass bottle.
