These are great knives! Looks like really good steel, good quality leather sheath. The No. 1 model has a little bit smaller handle, around 4", which is great for smaller and average hands. The No. 39 has a bit larger handle, around 4 1/4", which fits average and larger hands better. Both were really really nice knives. Good size for processing deer, pigs, or even a cow.
Tugh and good looking

The media could not be loaded. I fall for the plum color handle, I know this brand and knew will no disappoint me, the duotone liners give a very handsome look to the knife, the edge needs a little work on the stropping hone, but that's ok, not a big deal, dimensions and lines are perfect for me, bevel straight in both sides of the blade, good balance and perfect grip for my medium hand, great add to my collection and it works great, this knife will never let you down, multi-position sheath for right-handeds only, good quality fire steel, everything is perfect with this knife but the edge.
Great looking, well balanced knife...

The first day I got the knife I actually, no kidding, dropped it from about 4 feet high. The knife landed on the belly edge down, of course. The damage? Some micro chips on the edge...nothing else. Sharpened up with a ceramic rod in a few minutes.
Mistakes aside, the balance of the blade is right on the front finger placement. Somewhat handle heavy so definitely not a chopper, but feels really good in the hand. The handle is thick with lots of grip and is attractive (polished linen micarta). The steel seems to be of very good qaulity and strong. Someone compared this steel to 440c and I would agree. The tip held up to repeated stabbing and slight prying tests (on a wood block).
In my opinion, the sheath that comes with it is of mid to high quality. The included fero rod is very useable. And the sharpening stone supplied is a bonus, which completes the overall package as a knife system.
I have several high quality knives and this ranks right up there with the rest. Fit and finish were almost perfect...there was a slight mistake on the tip when the knife was ground. But nothing major that affected its performance. If your're looking for a quality, rugged stainless steel knife, then this is worth serious consideration.
