Very bight light, pulsating and not sure if it working

I hate to put 3 stars but there are multiple reasons.
1. They are super bright at night. Moreover they are quickly changing brightness over time (full cycle in about 7 seconds) and annoy me and my wife a lot. I don't understand how such thing can be designed like that. So I have to move them in corridor. Even there I can see that slow light pulsation.
2. Also I'm not sure if this device is working. I bought this device 6 days ago and I put 5 of them around room we sleep everywhere I can. Mosquitoes still flying in root where we are sleeping.
I don't think they are biting us but they definitely annoying. And it doesn't look like they are planning to leave. Perhaps this is because instruction tells to put them higher but all my power sockets low (standard position).

My problem finally had a solution.I have rodent problems at my home and I was looking for a device that can help me in that.I come across this device which is very effective and reduce the movements in just a few days.It is very useful. You can put anywhere, such as kitchen,bedroom, living room or basement. As per instruction, it will still take few more days to completely take care of it but till now I am very satisfied with the product. Easy to use Device and one that works!

I bought these because we have a real problem with mice. I hate using poison because I'm afraid owls might eat the poisoned mice and die. So far so good, I haven't seen any evidence of mice. I also like the fact that they don't make any noise which means I can even have them plugged in my bedroom.
