We haven't had much luck with large wireless tools so my man was afraid this would poop out after a few minutes of hard work. He was surprised to discover that this trimmer keeps its power. It kept charged for almost one hour before it started to slow down, and that was long enough to finish the job.
The trimmer is not overly heavy. The battery doesn't really add a lot of extra weight.
Not having the cord makes trimming so much easier. You don't have to worry about destroying the flower beds with the cord while you are trimming the hedges.
The blades are super sharp and effective. It looks like a chainsaw.
Overall, this is an excellent trimmer. Don't be afraid to go cordless.

This little bad boy cuts through small branches/hedges with ease. I like that it is powerful without being super heavy and cumbersome. It a hard worker I have no complaints. Good deal all around!

This trimmer comes with a very nice battery and charging station. The battery also has a charge indicator, which is a great way to know how much juice you have left. The trimmer is nicely balanced giving the operator a great range of motion. The blade has nice reach which I found was very helpful in getting the far back portion of my bushes. It is powerful enough to get through some thicker branches, about 1/2" thick with ease. I had a great time using this trimmer, I almost had a hard time putting it down! It got the job done quickly and easily. I highly recommend this product to anyone else.

I have an electric low-end hedge trimmer that I plug in and I have used it for years. Ever since I looked at a battery powered lawn mower 10 years ago and wasn't impressed by it I kind of gave up on battery powered outdoor yard tools.

Therefore, I tried this trimmer with the following low expectations -1) with a battery that size that thing must be HEAVY, and 2) that the power coursing through the blades wouldn't be enough to do real hedge trimming and 3) the battery would have to be swapped out mid-way in order to finish the job (like I have seen happen with older battery powered lawn mowers).

I am pleased to say that on all three accounts I had nothing to worry about. Even with the large looking battery I didn't appreciably notice the weight of the trimmer. In fact, without having to plug in a power cord and always lug the power cord around and plug it back in when it popped out "“which was all the time-- I felt that this trimmer was a lot more freeing and easier to move around than my electric trimmer. 2) The power seemed adequate for all my trimming "“which consisted of plain hedges, and then a much tougher job, pruning back some trees which have grown wild, requiring the battery powered trimmer to lop off limbs as large as the thing could take. (Incidentally, I found that it jammed no more often than my electric trimmer, and there was nothing that made me think the trimmer was weaker than I had hoped). 3) The battery was fine. I did hard work for 45 min and it was at full power the whole time. I still had a ton of juice left and wasn't able to find enough work to do to run it into the ground.

Another thing I noticed. This trimmer had at least a 6 inch longer blade than my other trimmer. I hadn't realized until now how convenient that made trimming my hedges, which, otherwise, would have required me to step on a foot ladder to complete. With the longer blade I was able to cut a lot more from the ground, making my job immeasurably easier.

I cannot emphasize enough how freeing this product was "“my hedges are at the front and sides of my house, and I have to get a LONG cord to use my regular trimmer, and it is a pain to keep moving the cord and changing electrical sockets and stretch the cord to capacity each time I want to move to a new location. I LOVED being able to cut a bit here, a bit there, and then on the other side of the house without any significant prep work.

The documentation you receive with this product is also great. You get a full instruction manual for the tool, and full instruction manual for the battery, and a full instruction manual for the charger.

Now that I am a convert to the flexibility and convenience of this product I am seriously considering other more improved battery products. If, like me, you hadn't looked at battery products in years, but don't want to deal with gasoline, it's probably worth taking another look now that technology has improved so much"¦ I mean, the battery in this thing is 60 VOLTS! Impressive.

While I love having a neat, manicured yard, actually putting in the time and effort into personally maintaining it is not always at the top of my priority list. That is particularly true during the hot and humid summer months here in South Florida. It can be miserable to simply step outside during the day much less having to toil away in the garden. I do prefer to be hands-on with my yard rather than hire someone, so I value tools that make that task easier and more efficient.

I've owned a number of trimmers over the years. Battery powered tools have recently become more common and affordable. This is my first cordless electric hedge trimmer and I'm blown away. The battery charges quickly and keeps going longer that I do. Supposedly, the large 60V battery will last for at least an hour of nearly continual use. I concur. I recently spent about half an hour trimming various trees, hedges and bushes, and only one of the four power bars was depleted when I wrapped things up. The large 2Ah power cell lets the 24" long blade chew through branches as thick as a finger like nobody's business. I've tackled some fairly overgrown areas in my garden and the POWERWORKS has handled it without evidencing any undo strain. The battery does get hot after extended use, but that's to be expected.

The HT60B211PW Brushed Hedge Trimmer is still a bit on the heavy side, but it is ergonomic and lighter than my previous gas powered models, and just a touch more than a smaller, corded model I once owned. The flexibility, convenience, and power of this 60V, 2Ah beast trumps all the others however. Just depress the safety, pull the trigger, and long, toothy blade springs to life. There is no cord to worry about, and it is easier to keep running and less noisy than a gas version. Maintenance simply involves wiping off debris, a spray of lubricant on the blade after use, and charging the battery. It also has a plastic blade guard that slides on for storage. I have a tree trimmer, grass edger, and chain saw that all use 24-40V Lithium-Ion batteries, but when it comes time to replace them, I'll definitely be looking at 60V models, or whatever the latest and greatest is at that time. Storage is fairly easy as it can be conveniently positioned in any orientation and you don't have to worry about fluids leaking/dripping. The new battery power tools for the garden have won me over and I never want to go back to gas again. My lawnmower is the final fossil fuel holdout, but it is only a matter of time...
