3-21-2020 UPDATE: I bought this for $18.14 (which was a lot) in December 2019 and it's now $25.00! It's good, but not THAT good. Won't be buying again. Sorry.

I ordered a two-pack and only received one package! It looks like some effort was made to split a two-pack and wrap it to only send me one package when I paid for TWO! First time ordering this and at this price-plus only receiving half of my order-I doubt I will order again. Bummed.

Found this barley on Amazon while trying to find an ancient grain, to match one in a restaurant's salad recipe. This barley fit the bill with the texture and mouthfeel desired. Also, the purple hue likely adds anthocyanine antioxidants and fiber to reduce elevated blood sugars for an added plus. Have found that the grain requires 30-35 minutes to cook, contrary to labels recommendation of 20-25 minutes. Multiple reorders and will continue. Only drawback is packaging. The plastic used for bagging is slightly brittle and has a tendency to break before arrival.
Barley is fine; packaging was not.
