The media could not be loaded. I like this model / PUZZLE very much! I found that the INTERNATIONAL instructions a bit UNCLEAR! But when you are giving instructions based on a PICTORIAL view without any WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, you better look VERY CLOSELY! I suggest you look ahead to see where the other assembled pieces fit together. I enhanced my DUTCH WINDMILL with led lights ( available from AMAZON, 6 pack was under $10 & each strand is 3 feet long ). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PUZZLE TO ANYONE WITH a good knowledge of modeling! I was considering making something myself out of wood by using the laser cutter I have. This would have meant drawing up plans and making sure to consider everything for a successful project, so I am aware of the work that went into making the laser patterns for this windmill project.
The attention to detail was astounding and, I would say, flawless, right down to millimeter thin relief cuts which allow the wood to flex slightly when inserting into a mortice and tenon type of joint.
The directions booklet, the wood itself, the experience making the kit, everything was wonderful.
I am in awe of the attention to details of the technical issues involved and which were, in my estimation, 100%.
Next step is to buy make another model; perhaps the lamp this time.

I make one of these each year as a gift. Its my third one. Even though I`m no pro at constructing these, I found this one to be the best. I had made a Ferris wheel is the past, but it had a lot of pieces. The desired result wasn`t really close to how mine turned out. This is great kit, since it includes the basic materials that you need to construct it well. There`s a small piece of wax and sandpaper, which is very helpful - since it improves the mechanics. The instructions are easy to follow, and doesn`t take too long. I casually constructed it, and it took me about 2 hours. I really like how it turned out and I hope to see this company offer more options

Not sure about the bad reviews, mine works perfectly. Granted, I did have to dis-assemble it and re-sand and re-wax all of the gears. Also, bevel the dowels as the instructions indicate, and wax the ends of those too. After doing that and putting it back together, it runs perfectly fine on it's own once wound up. Wind it a lot! It's beautiful!
