Received the saw 3 days late and really needed it to make cutouts to finish a project. Didn't want to spend too much money on yet another tool so tried the amazon recommended saw. Tried it out on practice runs and seem to cut just fine and laser was very helpful. Decided to do one final practice before work on real project and the cuts were way off. The laser sighting became skewed and the blade alignment is off. Tried for an hour to re-align but couldn't. Decided to use on project as I needed to finish. Projected messed up. Returning the saw.

The seller contacted me and sent me a replacement saw. The replacement saw works much better. The blade is aligned and the laser is also aligned to the cut line. This is a relatively inexpensive jig saw but there are a number of useful adjustments and features and the motor is quite powerful. I am not an expert and use mostly plywood and softwoods so this saw is good enough for me. A more experienced woodwork may want to spend more for a better saw. Note, I didn't pay for the replacement saw.

First of all, it is perfectly design for users. It never hurts you for long time usage.
The laser option is great assets for the users. I really liked it.
The adjuster on the side helping you the great straight cut.
The adjustment for the blade makes it easy to use in different materials.
It comes with 6 blades. Two of them for metal and I sued. It works perfectly fine.

I bought this to replace a very basic but reliable Black & Decker I owned for decades but finally burned out. This new one is a great value and seems more durable, but I seem to have a much harder time keeping a straight line. There are several ways to make adjustments to how this tool cuts, and if I wasn't in the middle of a project and pressed to finish I may have taken more time to practice, but my results out of the box were good enough. I look forward to getting to know my new jigsaw a little more. One final note, I found that the saw would easily lock into "on" unintentionally.
