The colors are great,yes they are small but I read the reviews and was expecting them to be small. I make cat toys, so I don' t need a lot but I do need a variety of colors. What really disappointed me was the bag. What I ordered was a bag that opened up to lay flat that would display all the colors at a glance making it easy to choose a color. What I got was a bag that zips open at the top of the bag, I will have to remove skiens to get to the color I need..not the bag that was displayed on my order. That's what disappointed me. Yarn was ok for what I use it for. good beginner kit.

This is a great kit with so many fun colors. Great for starting out and making amigurumi. But the hook sizes were not as advertised: I received 4.5 and 5.5 mm instead of 6.0 and 6.5. Keeping the kit but wanted others to know about the hooks.

I was going to buy two skeins of yarn for my 6 yr old granddaughters to use to learn finger and spool knitting. Then I saw this with the case to put the skeins in, just enough yarn in each skein to work with, but not enough to bore kids. Each skein IS a different color, so they have plenty to work with. The whole thing was twice the price of 2 skeins of decent yarn, so I went for it. Big hit
