The amp in my garage is, how do I put it... old. Not vacuum tube old, but behind the times when it comes to things like BT. No such thing on it. I have been plugging in an old iPod into the CD input and was looking at buying a more modern amp to put in there so I could stream BT into it from my iPad, phone, etc. After checking prices and reviews I thought "why??" when I could just put in a BT device on and be done with it.

The price was not bad, the reviews pretty good, so I thought I would give this a try. I can tell you, it is incredibly easy to setup. It comes with cables you are most likely to need, and I plugged it into the CD audio in. My phone saw the BT and connected without pause. In moments I was streaming music to my older amp and the Bose speakers attached to it. I had to crank up the volume compared to the direct connected iPod route, so there is that. It also seems to have less bass than when direct connected but I believe that is more a BT thing than this particular device.

For the price and ease to setup, this is pretty good so far. I have only tested RX mode, and not TX mode as I have no real need to transmit BT to anything, but I guess I can hunt for a need and see how that works.

A couple of years ago, I got a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver unit from another brand here on Amazon. They were so finicky, when they did work. Most of the time they didn't. I had to face them directly at each other across the room. They cut out, they were staticy and most of the time they just failed. This soured me on Bluetooth for home music. I left a one-star review, and threw them in the garbage. More money down the drain for failed products.
I've got this great Pioneer amplifier that's hooked up to a nice Klipsch 5.1 system, and a couple more big old Fisher speakers for the rear. I had it hard-wired up to my computer to play music, but it was always an on-going chore to get it all working together. I looked on Amazon for a Bluetooth receiver to hook up so I could broadcast from my iPhone. After lots of diligent study, I decided to try out the 1Mii and use it as a receiver. It comes with optical out, and an optical cord. I ran the optical cord to my Pioneer, paired it to my phone, and there I was, great music on my home stereo via my iPhone. It worked great, and was super easy to set up.

I've also got a couple of Pyle speakers in the kitchen, hooked up to a Lepy Bluetooth mini-amp, from Amazon. I could pair that one to my iPhone, and play music in the kitchen. It works great.

Then I started thinking- "Wouldn't it be nice if I could have both my kitchen and living room systems playing together at the same time?" Some phones can do it, but my iPhone can't. Looking around, it's supposed to be a difficult and tricky thing to do. I've got two different brands of receivers. There's often a lag between to systems, even if you can get it working.

I called up 1Mii, and they said I could do it with the 1Mii B03, just like the one I already have. So, I sent away for one, and hooked it up to my computer. This time, I had a bit of trouble getting everything working together. I emailed 1Mii's support and connected with Wendy. Wendy responded overnight, and ran me through a couple of things to try. She stayed with me and responded quickly and cheerfully, and together we found a solution. So now, I'm paired with both my living room system and my kitchen system. If there's any lag, it's not noticeable. I've gotta say a big THANK YOU to Wendy and all the support staff at 1Mii. I've been planning and working on this for years, and now it's reality.

It's too early to know what I think of the product. I based its purchase on one magazine review and the encouragement of a friend who is a lot more tech savy than I am. The parts delivery was several days earlier than I was expecting and perfect in every way so no complaints whatsoever there. The product has to work along with a set of Sony Wireless, Noise Cancelling, Stereo Headphones. So far I have not reached the reputed full potential of the two of them. I'm pretty sure the problem lies with me. I am 77 years old and have Parkinson's Disease. It may be that the knowledge I have is going down while the knowledge I need is going up. Better operating directions from Sony would sure help, but internet posters are largely taking up the slack. This may take a while.

I had an expensive wireless headphone system that was supposed to be the pinnacle of sound, but it constantly frustrated me with intermittent and frequent sound dropouts while listening. It was an RF wireless system that was particularly sensitive to signals from other wireless devices operating at the 2.4 GHz frequency. I couldn't throw out my wireless network or the devices running on it, so I decided to invest in the 1Mii B03 transmitter/receiver and a pair of Sennheiser 450BT headphones, hoping that the combination of Bluetooth and the aptX Low Latency protocol would eliminate the sound dropouts.

My biggest challenge was pairing the headphones with the transmitter; even though the pairing lights were blinking on both devices, it took a try or two before they would pair. Once they were paired, the sound was excellent; clear, detailed, and without dropouts! I assembled a system with different components that accomplished what an expensive system with integrated components from the same manufacturer couldn't!
