Fit:
When I realized the muzzle was too big, I contacted the manufacturer directly as per the included instructions. They got back to me quickly and very kindly offered to send the correct size*. They let me keep the original and even recommended that I donate it to an animal shelter if I decided not to keep it, which was rather thoughtful. The new one fit quite well, so the real training began.

Training:
My dog has been using a Halti for years now, so I assumed training him would be easy. Unfortunately, every chance he got he tried to paw the muzzle off his nose. After weeks of bribery with some of the tastiest nibbles (and believe me, he is food motivated like the rest of them!), I gave up. It was a bummer since this truly seemed like the best option for him.

Durability:
As insinuated, we didn't use the muzzle long enough to be able to speak to long-term durability. That said, the muzzle part itself appears super strong and the straps are thick/hardy. Willing to bet this product would stand the test of time.

Customer Service:
I gave this 4 stars, largely based on the cust svc. During the vetting process I was impressed that prior reviews said the manufacturer was accommodating, and throughout the attempt to get my dog to use the muzzle they saw their product through. FWIW, I purchased LePark's mesh muzzle and have been having great success with it. What a great company!

*Before purchasing, I took my dog's measurements using a tape measure and ordered the one that met those reqs. It fit well around his snout and neck; the problem was that the mouth strap wouldn't stay taut. The new one that the manufacturer sent definitely fit better, though it's tough to say whether it was because of the reduced size or the grip of the strap.

So I did all the measurements said needed and I ordered a 3XL for my 85lb bully/pit mix. I received it a day late on a saturday but it wasn't their fault -was USPS-. I Love the look and make of the muzzle (def strong), its not threatening at all ,looks and works much like a gentle leader/halti with more support. As for the actual fit, the strap around his snout was just a bit too big even at its smallest but the head strap was good so I could work with that. The only part that worried me was the actual straps connecting the snout strap to the neck strap; they fit a little too big/doesn't quite fit right so if he were to paw at it,it would easily come off. I emailed the seller and they were GREAT about it! They offered to send me the next 2 sizes down to try (in return for this review :P ). They sent me a XL & 2XL, that was a saturday late night, I received it on Mon. Still Loved the look but the reason why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because all the jaw straps were still a little too big/didn't quite fit. The XL fit the best by far, maybe a large would be better? My boy has a short snout and fat head so I don't totally blame them, I'm fine with working with it. The only other thing that bothers me is if I have the leash connected to it and he pulls really hard for more than a few seconds (for example when he sees another dog), the adjustable strap comes out ):. I still have control over his head but now he can bite if they get too close...which defeats the purpose. I've put a pin on it for now and its fine.

I have 70 lbs coonhound we rescued in late December. He is an absolute sweetheart, and has only ever been food aggressive.

But.... he also has very little bite inhibition and never learned not to mouth as a puppy, so my family (including 3 kids) have been unable to safely play with him, because when he gets excited he mouths hard enough to bruise.

We even contacted the rescue to see about giving him back and rehoming him in a place with no children, because he learned not to mouth adults but has not made any progress in not mouthing the children.

And so, as a last desperate attempt, I got this muzzle. It was delivered last night, and he's already worn it twice briefly. He hates it (which is expected) but I already love it. I'm not entirely sure it's the right size (too big maybe?) and the center head strap flops over his eye a lot, so I may end up cutting that off even though he's the kind of dog who will try to take the whole thing off. He was able to get it off very quickly on our walk before I realized I could hook the muzzle and collar D rings on the leash together. Those are my only, minor complaints so far.

The pros on the other hand? The two walks I have taken him on wearing this have been so much more enjoyable for me, because he wasn't dragging me behind him. And the fact that he can't bark at all the dogs we pass keeps him so much calmer (when he starts barking he works himself into an absolute frenzy.) Which means we will be able to go on more walks, because I won't be exhausted and in pain and stressed out afterwards anymore. Honestly, that alone is worth 5 stars for me.

But the other good news is that when I have the jaw strap cinched tight enough that he can't bite, he can still eat.

So... i'm definitely hoping we won't have to use the muzzle long term, but so far it's solving all three of the problems I have with this guy. And if his problems continue and he managed to break the muzzle, I would definitely buy another one. I'm already considering buying a couple extras now as a just in case.

The muzzle is very sturdy and of good quality. It is padded on the nose for comfort and has a d-ring to connect a leash. That is pretty rare for a muzzle. It looks and feels more like a nose harness and less like a muzzle. A little more comfortable for him for vet trips when he tends to get a little angry. I measured my dog carefully and ordered a large. It was the wrong size. I contacted the seller to exchange for a medium. They sent a medium at no cost and suggested I donate the large, which is exactly what I will do. What a breath of fresh air for some of the sellers I have encountered lately.

I actually ordered a large for my pit bull but it was a little too tight, off by about an inch or 2. It was such good quality that I was going to go ahead and replace it with an extra large but a friend wound up giving me one that they never actually used for a doberman that they had some time ago.
Customer service was AMAZING. . They actually credited me for the one I ordered that did not fit my dog, told me to keep it and even sent me an additional small and medium muzzle at no charge to try out for my 15 year old yorkshire terrier who we have to keep separated from my other 3 dogs because he doesn't get along with them anymore in his old age. I have a total of 4 dogs. . A pit bull and 3 yorkies. I always feel bad that my 15 year old yorkie can't be trusted around all the others because he attacks the other 2 yorkies (who are is Sons..)
Now I can have them all together for a few hours a day and not have to worry about them fighting, hurting one another and he is not uncomfortable in any way, he is still able to eat and drink, etc. It's nicely padded and he doesn't seem to even really notice he has it on which is awesome. . I love my dogs and would never want them to be unhappy/uncomfortable in any way. This is just PERFECT and for Customer Service to go out of their way to do what they did for me was really nice! I didn't know what size he would actually be so they sent me both a small and medium, which it turns out both actually fit him when adjusted properly.
If you are looking for a comfortable, nicely made muzzle that isn't intimidating to others this is seriously perfect and as I mentioned above their Customer Service is outstanding. Very pleased with everything all around, both the product and amazing service I received. Happy, Happy :)
