I am using more and more hoops each year. Mostly to support shade cloth. Our Springs are cold and then they flip right into the 80's-90's ... I need a strategy for all of the cool season crops and shade cloth is it. I included a few pictures:
- I'm using 3 hoops in the red raised bed - that bed is 24" wide and 4' long - I've got netting on that one to protect the carrots in there.
- I'm using I'm using 4 hoops in the white raised bed - that bed is 24" wide and 8' long - I've got shade cloth on that one to keep the lettuce cooler in there and also for protection.
The protection part is from insects, rabbits, and deer. The deer think that my raised beds are feeding stations just for them, so that they don't have to bend down as far! ;-)

I like that these hoops are one piece - nothing to come apart or break at a joint. The plastic coated metal should make these rust free.

I am using these when I set out plants, so I don't need anything very high or wide. As the plants get larger, I remove these and go with a larger set and a larger piece of shade cloth. I am also using these for lettuce, arugula, carrots, etc. in 24" wide raised beds.

If you need something bigger, these are not for you! ;-) But if you are looking for something this size, you can't go wrong. I bought a set of 6 and liked them so much that I got another set.

And since these come in different sets and sizes - here's what I have:

Heavy duty plastic. Super-strong and durable. No deer, rabbit, chipmunk, can bend. The arch is smaller than I expected.

These are exactly what I need for my raised garden beds! Just one problem, I ordered 2 of the 8 piece hoop kits, one kit had all of the parts and one kit is missing a connector. I reached out to the seller and waiting for a response. I do not want a refund, just the part that is missing. The material is heavy duty, ideal for corrugated or wooden raised garden beds. I can't wait to utilize these hoops. We have very strong winds in OK, squirrels destroy gardens and flower beds. These hoops are great for many uses. I will be purchasing more sets in the spring.

UPDATE: The seller contacted me quickly regarding the missing connector, they will be sending the missing piece. The seller was very happy to help/assist with this issue.
Update: I complied, gave my address for the missing item to be shipped to. The seller, for some reason would rather I just order what was left out of my shipment, then contact them again after that sell and they said they would step in, not charge me for the order. The seller did not follow through with their offer to mail the missing connector. How is this helpful to me? I don't feel I should jump through hoops due to the seller refusing to ship one connector. I refuse to pay twice for something. Sounds wrong to me. Poor customer service. Still do not have the missing part.

I ultimately decided to cover my strawberries after I realized the squirrels and birds were not good at sharing. These hoops are the simplest to use! They and are ready to be used right out of the box: they're made of seemingly sturdy plastic-coated metal wire (in single pre-formed hoops), completely smooth, with pointy ends. I was able to set up in minutes without any installation or fiddling with small parts.

I used these in spring with a small poly greenhouse covering. Did like them and were sturdy. Are easily breakable so you have to be careful not to push down to hard. Will be using these again this year. Hoping to buy more. Easy to install.
