This skewer axle seems solid and well-made. I like that the nut is a single piece of aluminum, so that when you turn it, the motion turns the threads directly instead of transferring that energy to another piece. The look of the level is great, and the motion of closing it gives the feeling that it is solid and well designed. Excellent finish on the aluminum. Really couldn't be happier with it.

These did the trick. There are a lot of threads and the screws can protrude thru the cap which allows this to fit a wide range of lengths. This is so helpful because I had no idea what length to buy when I lost axle nuts from my bike.
