This device worked to connect our old VCR and DVD to a newer flat screen TV. We watch no TV, only old movies, so this makes all of our tapes and discs useable again. We are in our 70s and not tech savvy, but hooking it up was easy. The hard part was figuring out which channels to use to make the TV "talk" to the
