So far these transmissions seem to be fine with the set up I have on my daughters Barbie jammin jeep. I was a little skeptical when I opened the transmissions and saw the Air cushion space is in the center of the lower gears, however I haven't had any issues so I am going to see how it goes. The motors that came with these transmissions really aren't any faster than the OEM at 12 V, however when she kicks in the 18 V booster the little jeep flies and it moves much faster than it did on the OEM motors at 18 V.
The little jeep is running a 22 amp 12 V main battery with a five amp 18 V boost on a momentary switch. These units which are actually for the F150 required some minor modification to the jeep as can be seen in the photos, as to the axle on the jeep being a smaller diameter than the pore hole on the transmissions, it hasn't presented a problem.
