Needed to replace my disc drive for work, this did the job almost perfectly. Perfect for laptops, not as perfect for desk tops. Drive needs to be plugged into back of pc but the cord is super short. Great value for the money. Easy to install. Ready to use out of the box.

Works great as plug and play, but the USB cord is extremely short. If you needed any place other than right off the USB port that you're plugging into, you'll probably not have enough cord and will need a USB extender

Easy to install this lightweight device on my desktop Mac computer, and it is compatible their latest operating system. It seemed sturdy when putting the CD inside and taking it out. The cable is attached to the rear of the device and stores underneath it. That cable is only a few inches long, but I was able to manage with that.
