I have enjoyed these for years now and I will say as long as you take extra care with them they will be great. the stands feel cheap but as mentioned with proper care they held up just fine.

For a photographer like me who is just exploring lighting, this is a reasonable place to start. I got a Lume Cube mini-panel a while ago to use for online meeting lighting. This panel and athe 116 I also bought have all the flexibility of the Lume Cubes with a fraction of the cost. They are not as solidly made, but with some care they should provide good service. I like having the various mount options and the remote. Now to get to work!

This is a great quality, ultra-portable continuous lighting option for the price! I knew that this light is going to be thin and portable when I ordered it, but I was still surprised at just how thin and light it is when I opened the box; it is literally about the size of a standard legal pad (without batteries).

Although it's no match for an Aputure 120D/300D or other larger studio size lights in terms of brightness, it is plenty bright for most situations and pretty impressive for its size--even bright enough to use as a key-light in a pinch (without extra diffusion). The minimal one-knob control panel on the back also makes it a breeze to use. The remote is slightly more complicated than it needs to be, but I really don't see a need for it in most situations so it's no big deal for me.

Power-wise, it comes with a standard power plug, and takes any 2 standard NPF batteries (not included). I have yet to run through the 2 NPF batteries I put in there since I got it (battery indicator still shows 2 bars!), and have gotten at least 3 hours of usage at varying brightness so far. Again, this makes it a great portable option.

More importantly, the color rendering of the LED panel I received is very accurate to the temperature dial, and has no noticeable color cast, even when shooting in LOG. I was able to match it with my much more expensive Aputure lights with no problem at all, straight out of the box, at both tungsten and daylight settings. There is also no flickering, even at 180FPS+ frame rates. Also, there's no built-in fan and does not produce any noise, which makes it great for video shooting.

One design change I wish Viltrox would make is to offer users the option to remove the built-in diffusion panel, which noticeably limits output as well as external diffusion options, but one again, this product was designed to serve as a quick all-in-one lighting source to be used without extra diffusion. And given I was completely aware of this before I purchased it, I see no need to deduct a star for this.

With a light this size, thickness, weight and brightness, there's really no excuse to not keep in your camera bag or backpack at all times. Definitely great buy as long as you're not planning to use it as your primary key-light.

I was excited to come home to find the UPS had delivered my Viltrox super slim LED video light panels .
When I opened the box and saw the case inside I was even more happy. This professional looking case with two zippered compartments a great carrying handle into straps to secure the case on either end look like it would protect the contents be easy to carry and looks very professional.

I carefully laid the case on a flat surface, unzipped one of the zippers and found within the two slim LED lights.. I also found adjustable hot shoe mounts to power sources with super long cords, I love that, and a remote control. I quickly unpacked everything see pictures and then unzipped other side. There I found instructions to very sturdy tripods with universal ends to mount my new LED lights upon.

I was currently using to umbrella type lights in my very small studio. As you can imagine these huge lights not only heats the studio up in the summertime very hot, they take up 25% of the space for the studio. I was excited to see the footprint of the new lights take up about 1/10 of the space in the heat is barely noticeable. Of course the question remains will be bright enough to be efficient. The answer is a resounding yes!

These new lights are sleek, easy to move around, and superbright. Two tones which they call bicolor dimmable in the brightness adjustment of 20 do hundred percent makes these perfect for almost every video or photography situation. I do a daily live broadcast on Facebook. And I have over 100,000 views on YouTube and I find these lights far superior to what I've been using and expect that this will increase my viewership in the future. Look for video coming out in the near future to compare these lights with a large bulky lights that I've been using. Now for the technical stuff.

This by dimmable light goes from 3300 K all the way up to 5600 K. It is from a yellow to white light in the bicolor adjustment goes from 20% to 100% the match brightness 2500 lm power runs at 30 W. They are they have beautiful aluminum stands were adjustable up to 86 inches and can hold up to 7 pounds. Each one has a 1/4 inch hot shoe adapter that can adjust to almost any lighting angle and security mouse your new lights or anything that can be met amounted and the standard screw and hot shoe universal adapter.

There is a slight learning curve to the remote does make sure you follow the instructions. Another plus to these lights is you can use them on the fly. Each one has two places for batteries. Batteries are not included. And I cannot find in any information on how to get batteries. But as soon as I find out I'll let you know. The brightness of these lights make shooting outdoors in low light conditions so much easier than trying to drag the old bulky lights and find a power source.

Overall I'm very excited with the possibilities of these new lights. I can't wait to make videos with these new lights. I go lives today for the very first time with these new lights. One of the first things I noticed is the great skin color tones that can be achieved with these lights cutting down on the use of different makeups for on air personality camerawork.

I am rating these lights five stars. Even the fact that there's no battery for the light or no battery for the remote cannot deter from their rating because of the superior quality of everything from the bag provided to carry them in to the lights themselves.
