Bought and installed nearly 3 years ago. Our house and garage have alder trees on 3 sides. It's working perfectly. Nothing growing in the gutters and the water (Pacific northwest) flows freely. Excellent product.

They are easy to install and keep everything including pine needles out of the gutter. But, maybe once a year I have to clean off the top ( I have tons of pine needles and helicopters). However, cleaning is a breeze. I scrape mine with a plastic putty knife (not sharp) and blow it with a leaf blower on a dry day. It is very fast and not wet and mucky because everything dries in the sun on top of the gutter guards. I may not need to do that but it is easy and fast so I do. None have become clogged yet for two years. You may not need to even do that if you have only leaves and helicopters. But pine needles are a special problem. Still - it keeps them out and keeps the water flowing.

I've tried many gutter guards over the years and nothing is as good as these. They're so good that they used to be cheap and now they've raise the price a little bit but there's a reason for that. They work and I mean really well you can just blow them off or get on a ladder and take the stuff that's on top off but blowing is easier. The only drawback I have found is that if the squirrels decide they might want some for their nest they might try to chew some of it up. The only other drawback would be if you have an asphalt shingle roof, then over a year or two you may want to pop them out and knock the granules out and then just stick them back in and you're good to go. Otherwise you don't have to do a thing. Try them for yourself you won't regret it. They get five stars from me and I am in Texas with plenty of trees. Gutter brush works too but they always look crappy with all the leaves that get stuck in them. Not to mention they cost even more. And all the other ones with slots and stuff like that they get filled up with little sticks and stuff and you got a clean them out and that takes a long time and you have to do it at least once a year but they do work. Very easy to install. Cant rate value for money or longevity because the product is only one week old. Ask e again in two years and I'll tell you
