A well-constructed, well-padded, lightweight cello case for reasonable cost.

A well-constructed, well-padded, lightweight cello case for reasonable cost. Just wish it had another handle or 2. Also, the zipper was getting a bit stuck in a couple of places, but soaping the zipper teeth definitely helped. I recommend it.

This case was a gift to my 18 year old granddaughter for her 3/4 cello. She was and sill is ecstatic over the case. its straps and lining keeps the cello secure wile the molded exterior prevents injuries to the neck , body, and stand. a supplemental compartment provides space for rosin, and whatever else might be needed. The case was an excellent buy for the money.
Great case for the price!

This case delivers on what is expected. My only ding would be that there are so many latches all over the place including one under the handle making it awkward and time consuming. On the other hand, better safe than sorry.
Works For My DIY Needs, But Might Not For Other Costumers

First off, this product arrived on time and undamaged.
My Experience:
A few years ago, I ordered this "exact" same case in grey for my Full Size Acoustic Cello. In truth, I know this isn't the highest quality case, but it works wonderfully for my Full Size Acoustic Cello Needs. However, this new case, which is blue, is not as strong as that grey case. It is extremely flimsy and by no means can it be the same construction. If I were purchasing this for my Full Size Acoustic Cello, it would have been returned immediately; however, in this case, I was purchasing it for a DIY custom fit project for my Full Size Electric Cello. In the paradigm of electric Cellos, it is next to impossible to find hard cases that fit via their slender construction and artistic shapes. After about a year of carrying this cello in a fabric gig bag, I decided it was time to make a custom fit hard case. Initially I was worried about how flimsy this case was, but after adding the high density foam (which I custom cut), fabric adhesive, and case fabric, it sturdied up perfectly. As such, I now have a good hard case for my electric Full Size Cello.
Conclusion:
I honestly wouldn't utilize this blue case for an expensive Full Size Acoustic Cello. In truth, the grey case I purchased worked great, but I fear they might have changed construction with this blue model and I honestly feel it is too flimsy to be considered a "secure" hard case. It might to the job for a cheaper acoustic cello, but nothing of higher value... just to be safe. However, since I added foam supports and other DIY components, this solved the flimsy case issue. That being stated, most people will not buy this cello case for electric cellos, as such, I don't recommend it for everyone unless you can be assured you have the same sturdiness as my last grey case.
I hope this review helps.

Caase is sturdy & well designed

Case is use to transport a cello. The fact that is was shipped (from Kentucky) in a very flimsy, bashed, poorly taped, unpadded box and left In our driveway speaks well for the durability of the case but very poorly for the shipping company. I suspect leaving it in the driveway was a wise decision as, undoubtedly, the box would not have survived being carried up 5 stairs to the porch. I would hesitate to recommend ordering anything else from this company (Cross Bow) due to this experience.
