Recently recieved my vest and used sand as filler. The vest fits comfortably, slightly snug for one size fits all, I'm 6' 2 and 210 lbs. Unfortunately one of the pockets separated at the stitching after one cardio and kettlebell workout. Contacted seller and was very pleased with the prompt response. They were able to get my vest replaced within a few days at no cost to me. Would recommend to anyone considering the purchase.

Vest is ok. I had one of the pockets on the back tear out almost immediately. the rest have held up fine. I still use it and I will repair the torn out pocket. likely buy a better quality plate carrier vest for my next one.

While the entire point of these vests is to make yourself miserable, this vest helps achieve this without the actual fit of the vest being noticeably uncomfortable. However don't buy it as expect that it is going to be as comfy as your pj's.

The first thing I suggest is that you buy the second generation of this vest. The brute force 2.0 is exactly the same vest as this with 2 big differences. The first is that the mid strap that is around the ribs is also adjustable velcro like the waist strap. That is my ONLY complaint with the vest that I bought here. It is extremely difficult to get this vest on and off with any weight above 20lbs. The second difference is there are also 2 sizes in the 2.0 version as apposed to the 'one size fits most' of this vest. If I had it to do over I would spend the extra 20$ and get the second generation. It's totally worth it.
That said, this vest is really impressive. The build quality and fit are top notch. Even the individual weight bags are really nice and well made. I started with filling my bags with sand. Just 20 pounds filled all of the bags but made the vest quite bulky. Currently I have them filled with s390 steel shot. The same 20lb weight is in just 8 bags instead of 20lbs of sand in all 12. And there's still room for more steel shot in the 8 bags. I am medium build, 6 foot 180 lbs and this vest fits well. I'm not sure how folks with bigger chests will be able to use this vest. Get the second generation and this worry disappears with the adjustable rib straps..

Overall I'm happy with the product, but I don't believe a "one size fits all" is accurate. I'm 6'2 and 236lbs male. I have a wider back and broader shoulders than some and the vest straps don't equally attach to the Velcro underneath the flap in the front. I wish the side straps were longer so they felt like they were more secure/attached. The vest does fit well otherwise and I'm looking forward to using it often, i used steel ball bearings used for sanding instead of actual sand. All 12 pouches are approximately 4.2pounds. The weight is distributed nicely and doesn't shift around like plates do, and there isn't anything jabbing me in the side or back either.
