One Year Update

Nearly One Year Update:
It has been almost a year since I purchased the Avantree TV Earbuds and while I have had some issues along the way, Avantree and their Representative (Rie) have provided amazing customer service. Each time I have contacted Rie regarding an issue I was having she has responded promptly, she is also very professional & knowledgeable and has quickly and efficiently addressed my concerns as well as facilitated replacement for me. Avantree is an excellent company that does everything possible to make sure their customers are satisfied and they do that through amazing responsiveness and their excellent two year warranty. I am completely happy with the product and in awe of their customer service, I highly recommend Avantree and would not hesitate to purchase from them again in the future.
Six Month Update:
The Avantree wireless TV Earbuds have been working great for the past six months, however, I did experience two problems (power button on earbuds fell out & the charging cable USB connector came apart) very recently. I contacted Avantree and the customer service representative (Rie) who has helped me in the past, went above & beyond in assisting me once again. I sent pictures of both issues and both the earbuds & the charging cable were promptly replaced free of charge, Avantree also provided a free return label as well. Throughout this most recent experience Rie was very responsive and did a fantastic job communicating to me what was happening on her end, she has also been very professional, friendly & a pleasure to interact with. I changed my initial review from six months ago (2 stars) to (3 stars) after my last experience and have now changed it to (5 stars) as I have received excellent, timely, customer service and the product has been performing exactly as it should. Thank you to Rie for a job well done and to Avantree for backing up their products with wonderful two year warranty.

After posting my one star review I contacted Avantree customer service and tried trouble-shooting with one of the Reps (Rie) but unfortunately nothing worked, so she sent me a new set free of charge and provided a free return address label so that I could ship the old set back.
She also provided me instructions on how to pair the earbuds & the transmitter that are completely different from the instructions provided in the owner's manual as well as the installation video, please find the instructions below.
Avantree Headphones Pairing Procedure
1. Charge the headphones using the data cable.
2. Using the USB cable, plug the transmitter into a power source (other than the TV) and leave TV off while pairing.
3. Press and hold the number 1 button on the transmitter until it flashes red and blue rapidly.
4. Turn headphones off, press & hold the center button until the light flashes red and blue rapidly.
5. Once connected the indicator lights on both the transmitter and headphones will turn solid blue.
6. Press & hold the number 1 button on the transmitter until the indicator light turns pink for a few seconds.
7. Connect the audio cable to the transmitter and the TV, turn on the TV.
I followed these instructions and it worked perfectly the first time. Now, each time I turn on the transmitter and the earbuds they automatically pair up and nothing else is required.
Many thanks to Rie for all of her time and effort, she was incredibly patient, professional, and helpful.
I will wait to see how the headset performs over the next several months before upgrading my rating once again, but so far so good.

This product is advertised as plug & play, but clearly this is not true. I charged the ear buds first, then I read the instructions, then I watched the installation video, and followed the instructions precisely. The Bluetooth symbol on the transmitter never stopped flashing, even though I left the ear buds next to the transmitter for ten minutes. I tried turning the transmitter and the ear buds off, then back on again, five different times and the two would not pair up, what a complete waste of time and money. Now, I get to waste more time packing it all up and driving to the UPS Store to return the product. I wrote to the company support department, we'll see if they respond and resolve the issue, but considering my experience thus far, I am not hopeful.

The sound is very good. battery life a little short. I can not change the ear buds. Took one off and had a very hard time to put back on, no easy task. The directions for hook up were not very good. Went to internet to watch how to video and that helped. All in all a very good product.
