Super item. Works as designed. Can now pass HDMI aux signal to my stereo. Note that to get both your video from the blue ray player and the audio you may need a player that has 2 HDMI connections - 1 for video/audio (normal connection) and a supplemental HDMI thatonly processes digital audio - like my Sony ultra4k blue ray player.

I bought this item to use in my 2016 Chevy Tahoe for the rear entertainment system in order to stream online services. It was very easy. I plugged it into the power plug, matched the colored output plugs to the ones in my car and plugged my Roku stick into this device. Worked perfectly fine!

Very convenient and easy to use. I bought it to connect my very old, not-smart non-flat JVC TV to a laptop to watch movies (e.g., YouTube, Tubi). I definitely recommend especially if you do not mind multiple cables around you.
It has been over 2 years since I bought it, and I am still very pleased with the purchase. I also recently realized that I can also connect my non-USB monitor to a laptop via the HDMI cable as a second monitor. That was an unexpected extra bonus!
Sometimes the cables get a bit finicky and there is no signal. What has worked for me is disconnecting each cable.
