Have not had a chance to use or even set up. Based on an earlier suggestion I would like doors on the ends (simple closures with velcro?) to keep the rain and wind out.

I like the extra ideas that I received from the manufacturer. My biggest concern was that you needed two trees to make this work and you don't. The 3 tips that were sent I printed and put inside the bag containing the tent! I bought this to put in an emergency kit I was putting together, but it might be wise to put it in a backpack even for a day hike.

After all the recent earthquakes, I remembered our emergency kit needed updating. After looking at various tube tents, this looked the most sturdy & came with more rope than others. Upon receipt, it is sturdy & the company sent (via email) tips for how to use the structure outside of the standard "tube" construction, which is useful. I like that it fits 2 adults or a few kids. But, frankly, I hope I never use it! (Though I may order an extra for the kids to make a play fort with & to test it out!)

I use this for cold weather camping. I run a second ridge line under the rain fly and hang this tube tent. Then run the hammock through it. I get into the hammock then pull the tube over me, it's a little work to set it all up, but it really helps hold a good amount of body heat for the weight.
