a little tricky to get the hang of

they work great for setting curls, but i do not recommend for use on wet hair. It tangled and pulled my wet hair. It is not a comfortable option to sleep in. it also takes a while for the wet hair to dry in the curlers, and can get frizzy. The banana clips that come with the curlers are not strong enough to hold them in place. However, when blowing out your hair, it is a great option for setting the curls in position while they cool. I sue it exclusively for that purpose and for volume at the roots of my bangs, and it works great.
Lots of rollers, but the pins suck.

The rollers themselves are exactly what you'd expect. You get a bunch and all different sizes, plus the carrying bag, which is nice. They also give you a set of 20 bobby pins to hold in the curlers and they're trash. Yes, the curlers are the self-holding kind, which they do to an extent, but no self-holding rollers are perfect (trust me). You really do want/need something to secure them with so they don't move and the pins just ain't it. I recommend the curlers, definitely, but get yourself a set of alligator clips to hold them in if you buy these. Don't expect anything from those bobby pins.
Creates Great Volume

Saw these recommended by a You Tuber's mom for volume. Beats any product that you can put in your hair. They are comfortable as long as you aren't laying down. Love these things. I remember them from the 50's. Much better than electric curlers.

I am incredibly pleased with the Jumbo Size Hair Roller sets I purchased. The self-grip feature makes them exceptionally easy to use, and their salon-quality design gives me gorgeous curls effortlessly. With two sizes available in the pack of 24, it offers versatility for various styling needs. These hair curlers have become my go-to choice for achieving stunning hairstyles, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for hassle-free, professional-looking curls at home.
Better than I expected

The rollers turned out better than I expected. For reference, I used all of the pink rollers and one purple one to get this look. It was frizzy at first but I let my hair dry completely under a bonnet dryer. Allow your hair to cool before you remove to get some hold. The reviews of them pulling and damaging really worried me but I took my time removing, and unwinded my hair instead of pulling from the rollers. That's important! If you are really anti-pulling and anti-all breakage this may not be the product for you. I searched online and someone else recommended using styling strips over the rollers to protect it from tugging from the Velcro. Also I used a ton of leave in, olaplex and some mousse for hold before rolling. I forgot heat protectant, smh! I finished off with lots of oil because my hair is on the dryer side. I'm texlaxed. I think you could get tighter curls with ones smaller than the pink ones, and if your hair is longer than mine, but I like the look they gave. The style definitely won't hold up past one night but I think it could be a nice going out style. The rolling process was way faster than using magnetic rollers. Take your time and really smooth out your hair with a comb. I did have to touch up my roots and a bit of my hair with a flat iron and comb after but as you can see I still have a lot of texture. I stayed under the dryer for a total of 1h and 45min(wet to dry), with a couple of breaks in between. Btw I used the ponytail method to roll but added more parting/curlers as I saw fit so that each section didn't have too much hair. Hope this helps!
