Ok, this product is not for sensitive heads. I recommend looking up a tutorial before starting.
I had two of my roommates help me. This is not an on your own job, and it takes more than 2 hands. If you don't hold the top, the bottom, and the hook while pulling the hair through the curler, it will hurt, hence needing more hands to hold each part. I have short hair, and with two roommates, it only took about a half hour or so.
I chose to sleep in mine and it was hard. I've done sponge curlers before, and these aren't as bad, but definitely not comfortable to sleep in. I recommend for sleeping in them more comfortably, to wind up a blanket and place it where your neck is, and it helps a lot.
To take them out, don't just pull from the bottom. Start at the top, take one finger put it in the middle of the spiral, twist the opposite was as the spiral while pulling down. This is to help not "finger trap" your hair because that's what this material does. If you pull on it, it will get tighter and pull on your hair.

I used it on my synthetic hair wig, applied the curls, wet it with boiling water and let it dry to set. The curls came out beautiful for the most part. There was one or two that did more of a wave or stayed straight and I just did those over again, but luckily I had the time to. I will say I was a little disappointed that the curls didn't really lay the way I tried to make them, it kind of made them look a little all over the place but we were able to manage it after playing with it for a while. All in all, worth the price.

This is for the girls with super thick long hair. My hair is down to my bottom and extremely thick. I probably have enough hair for 3 people. Using curling irons doesn't work for me because the weight will make the curls fall out within the hour and most products I've tried in the past weren't very helpful. I happened to buy a set of these a couple years ago for my daughter and the curls worked and looked amazing on her. I finally decided to buy a set for my hair (the longest one) and am pleasantly surprised how well they curled. I did buy 2 sets of curlers due to the thickness of my hair and had just a few leftover.
Couple things: I looked like Medusa putting these things in. You will get a good laugh out of it. They were more comfortable to sleep in that I expected but it is a little uncomfortable. I put mine in with damp hair and would recommend the same. The length of these curlers covered most of my hair. I slid down the curlers a few inches from the top. I hope in the future they make a longer version but honestly you can't tell a difference it turned out cute.

Loved how it made my curls. Not comfortable though to lay or sit back in. Easy to blow dry through the material. The stick sucks though. Breaks apart everywhere one while I'm pulling it through the curler.
