I am a HUGE fan of Sturhling Watches. I own a Tuskegee Airman watch and this is a welcome addition. I prefer canvas or leather band watches but I am able to easily adjust the metal band with basic watch tools.

I love(d) this watch when I first received it. The size, weight, apparent quality of materials and dead-on accuracy was excellent. It is my "every day" watch. I also own Rolex, Tissot, Tag Heuer, Movado and other actual high end watches as well as Seiko and Citizens. I was very disturbed to find corrosion on the bottom of the case after 7 months when it's warrantied for 2 years! I tried to contact customer service at Stuhrling and I was unable to reach a Human! (Grrr!). Eventually, I got an E-mail from Stuhrling saying to take it to a warranty center(?). Not the replacement I was looking for! Got a replacement through Amazon and now the replacement watch case is corroding also. They must use poor materials for the cases on these watches. Stainless steel does not corrode like this.
However, I purchased it through Amazon, so I decided to try going through Amazon. I heard back from the company quickly after going through Amazon's problem resolution. They said send it to them, and they would replace it. Well I did that, but after a month, still replacement! I reached back out to Stuhrling using the Amazon contact E-mail, about them not sending the replacement, and they sent it out immediately. The replacement arrived and it is now in service (And it's as great as the original was). Hopefully the case will not corrode.
Watch is highly recommended, moving my rating to 4 stars (lost one star for corrosion and poor customer service) but if you have a problem, go through Amazon, NOT directly through Stuhrling!

It's quite rugged for an "elegant" looking watch. This is definitely a watch I can wear daily and never have to remove. I live near the Gulf of Mexico and swim with it without thinking about it. Just make sure to keep the crown screwed on tight and it's good to go.
