Fantastic Product - If Used Right - Read on

I'm going to skip the part of how nice this item is to have. There are more than enough reviews that attest to that.
This device will do its job, and do it very well. Just keep the following things in mind:
1. This is NOT a hot plate. If your coffee is cold when you use this, it will be lukewarm at best. It simply helps to maintain the beverage's temperature. BIG difference.
2. Watch out for those Buttons - They are 'touch-enabled,' so if you are not careful, you may graze your fingers over it and inadvertently either turn it on or turn it off. The former is the bigger problem because there IS NO AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF. You don't want to leave it unattended and left on.
3. No Beeps - Despite other reviews, mine does not beep when you touch any buttons, so I don't know if the later ones had this beeper thing removed. In any case, I don't have them.
4. IF YOU USE CREAM IN YOUR COFFEE - By all means, by a set of those stupid-looking, but absolutely essential rubber coffee mug covers [they look like umbrella tops]. If you don't and leave your cup unattended on the warmer, the cream will congeal and the coffee and mug will be gross in no time flat. Those covers keep the moisture in, as well as assist in keeping the coffee warm. You'll get some condensation drips each time you remove them, but a small price to pay.
5. I find it better to use the highest setting when the cup is full, and then work your way down as you consume your beverage. Else, you will go from a nice warm cup of coffee to a scalding one in no time.
Hope all this helps. Buy this - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent, keeps tea and coffee at the perfect temperature

I got this as an office Christmas gift and have used it basically daily for the past year. The warmer keeps either coffee or tea at a perfect temperature for hours. It shuts off after 4 hours, which is a nice safety feature, as well as flashing red when it's still hot once you turn it off.
It's a nice color and the cord is a pretty good length, I keep it on the edge of my desk where I won't accidentally turn it on or off (the touch button is very sensitive).
If you have a cold beverage, it won't necessarily warm it up, unless you give it a long time, but it will keep a hot beverage perfectly hot, and it has 3 settings. If your cup gets to less than half full, on the highest setting it can even get a touch too hot. Since it works via surface area, it definitely works best with flat bottomed mugs, which can be difficult to find. There's a huge difference between the temperature of a mug with a completely flat bottom and a mug with just a small ring that touches the heating element - for those I recommend using a small mug cover on top.
It also works well to melt candles if you want to have a nice scent but avoid soot from actual flame.

I love that it doesn't take up a lot of space and it keeps my hot drinks hot until I am done, Only down is the ON / OFF button is Very Sensitive, I had set my iphone on it accidently and turned it on at the same time, the phone only got overheated, undamaged. Wish it had a clear cover or the buttons were slightly sunken.
Keeps hot beverages warm, but there are some tips and info you should know...see below

Bottom Line: There are nuances to this warmer, but it does keep it warm. It's better than having cold coffee or tea, especially in an air conditioned office. I read A LOT of other reviews for this and about a dozen other reviews. For the price, it does the job of preventing cold coffee/tea. It doesn't set off any fireworks, but it's better than nothing if you take the below precautions and advice.
After using this a couple weeks, I have found the following:
1. This warmer will keep your drink from going room temp or ice cold, but NOT hot. The liquid will likely be in the 80 degrees range. The base it's may get around 120-130 degrees average but it may also go higher, it's hard to monitor. I like hot coffee, but like I said above, this is better than the alternative.
2. I suggest flat bottom, ceramic mugs as the best conductors and safest. Metal can get too hot and I've found doesn't really conduct more heat.
3. If your mug is curved at the bottom (not flat), this will not be AS effective. Most mugs curve a bit in the center of the base, so a completely flat mug is better to conduct the heat from the warmer.
4. Do NOT use plastic or paper mugs or styrofoam cups. They will fall apart or melt. You CANNOT put SBUX or RoFo cups on this and not court disaster.
5. The bottom of ANY type of mug and the sides gets SUPER HOT, so you use the handle or risk getting burned. Metal is gets especially hot. I grabbed a metal travel mug mid-way and got a little burned on my fingers/hands, but luckily I hadn't lifted it so it was just a "Wow, that's hot" not an ER trip..
6. The less liquid and the smaller the mug, the hotter the beverage. I realized that my coffee actually was hotter as I got to 1/3 or less full, since there's less to heat. Also, I have a stir stick or spoon to mix it before I drink so the heat gets distributed through the liquid.
7. Unplug it to shut it off. DO NOT leave it plugged in all day or overnight. Even pushing the off button may not turn it off or it could easily be bumped on.
8. Put a cloth potholder under the warmer. It gets very hot and heats the table underneath or anything beneath it. This will save you from damage to wood or plastic desk/table, etc. I've seen this bubble varnish, cause brown marks or bleach marks on other people's posts. So, a potholder works but use cotton or melt-resistant fabric. Something nylon or polyester may melt. A silicon or heat resistant pad, may not buffer the heat enough like a potholder would since it's thicker.
9. Do NOT leave this on all day. Unplug it if you walk away.
10. Insulated mugs don't really work, even if metal. I think the outside will get super hot near the base but the inside liquid will not due to the space. This works on contact with the base.
Hope this helps! :D

My husband bought this for me last year and I LOVE IT!! It lasted a year of me spilling into it lol So it naturally broke but I got another plus 5 more for all my hot beverage lovers for Christmas . I love the settings on it and does not burn or taste yucky even after a hour or two, and it turns off in four hours by itself. I love that because I am a tad forgetful. Good bye microwave cuz that is where my coffee lived before I got this. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!
