The cushion is definitely comfy. I'm a bigger man and have a large executive office chair. This cushion looks like a couch pillow in my chair. The front edge of the cushion rests mid-thigh on my legs, so it is not comfortable for a 6'3" person. It works well in smaller chairs and my middle schooler loves it for her student desk in her room. Measure your chair to compare to the cushion size so you are certain it will work for you.

I don't suffer from back pain or other - I just needed a simple cushion for my behind. I wanted something for the car that would raise me up - as the chair in the back seat was more of a bucket seat and my knees were higher than my butt. I needed a butt lifter. Also - I wanted something for my office chair. I then can use it on my hard wooden dining chair. Well, anybit works, and when I plunk down on my wooden dining chair I have a cushion. I liked it so much - I bought one each for my elderly parents who have theirs on their wooden dining chair at their home, then bought 2 more for my other 2 household members. so purchase of 5 total. For me - it met my needs. My elder dad has back pain, sciatica, etc... too soon for him to say that it has significant relief.... but if you have nothing, and put this down, then something is better than nothing.

I have a herniated disc in my lower back and related sciatica. I liked the first cushion I bought so much that I bought two more and keep them in my car and at home, with one to carry to class. We needed to replace the cushions for our car, because ours were getting quite worn. I chose two different ones from two different brands, because I didn't know which one to order since they were basically both the same price on sale and both of them had high reviews. We decided that the one that was the most comfortable the driver would get to use. These products are marketed so many different ways, such as for a wheelchair, an office chair or for a car seat. This one from this brand was nice but not as nice as the one from the other brand I ordered from. The material on this one is more itchy and it is not as comfortable. The one we loved is from the brand AUVON and it is marketed as a wheelchair cushion. It is like a dream. It is velvety soft, supportive, so comfortable and you don't feel like you have to try to balance on it when you first sit down on it. Needless to say, because I don't usually drive, this one above is the one I usually get to sit on and it works just fine. I decided to keep it, because who knows which one will hold up the longest and this one might improve over time.
