8/22/23: So my initial review was a 1 star (read the end of this review). Now 5 star. Yesterday they said my results would be in a week and I got them today! AND THEY WERE SPOT ON! I strongly suspected that Rudy was half Great Pyrenees and half Golden Retriever and that is exactly what came back. I gave no suggestions as to what he might be to them. Now I am going to test my other dog who I am not sure what she is. Fun!
8/21/23:I did write a previous review (which has been deleted) and gave it one star. Per the USPS it was received three days after I mailed it out. I kept getting notices to mail my swab in and I am like you have it. I do have to admit they were very responsive to my messages but I was very upset with them telling me that they never received it and that it was lost. They sent me a new swab and on the same day what was lost it was suddenly found (three weeks later) . Last check, I should have my pups results in a week. So this is just to say, for me customer service responded quickly to my messages. I will update again after the results come in.

I am just very impressed how Embarked responded when it appeared that USPS had lost our swab kit.
When it finally showed up...like a month after I mailed it, they let me know and assured me that if the sample seemed compromised they would redo it.
Within a week I was notified of results, and based on results of Taffys siblings and mother it was pretty much what I expected.

It was easy to use. Just swab your dogs mouth for 30 seconds & mail in for results. Some of my chiwee dog's results were very interesting. Found out she had some cattle dog in her, which explains some of her behavior. She's considered a "super mutt."

I have been wanting to do this since I adopted my pup. I always knew she was mixed, but wasn't sure with what. I read the negative reviews, but as a lot of people pointed out in them, you don't truly know what makes up your unique best friend. You have to go in with an open mind. The test is pretty simple to do, you just have to make sure you collect enough saliva. I thought I hadn't collected enough, the sponge wasn't covered in drool, but apparently, I did (They will send you a free replacement sponge if yours breaks or if there isn't enough DNA). Once the DNA was collected, I sent it off and the results came back relatively quick, about three and a half weeks. I did the guessing game before looking at the results, and it was shocking! I knew that my pup had Pit Bull in her, but I was thinking quite a bit of boxer as well. Turns out, it was American Bull Dog and Cane Corso! I got to reading about Cane Corsos, and personality wise, it was right on the money with my pup. I think this will really help me better understand my pups unique needs, whether it is exercise needs or dietary needs. I think this is definitely worth the money and time. It will help you to get to know your best friend even better!
