Sturdy Scooter
Julie Diedrich✓ Verified Purchase•November 8, 2023
I bought this for my foot surgery as I'm off my foot for 8-10 weeks. I have a smaller house and realized it is too big to really get around my house. However, I'm using it now as my scooter when I have to places, it's heavier and more bulky but it does have good smooth steering and the larger wheels are good for walks outside and going to stores, etc. Just didn't work well in the house so I downsized to a smaller model scooter with smooth tires and only 7.5 inch tires vs. these are 12 inch tread tires. I actually miss the smoothness of this one inside but it will serve me well outside and on errands now as time goes by. I call it "The Beast". But quality is lovely and I'm glad I have it.
Great for extra-tall people

Break your ankle at 6'9" and you'll find that there are precious few options for getting around. Lots of stuff says "tall" but in at least one case I saw that meant up to 5'8". Almost nothing guess above 6'6" and that extra few inches matters if you want to prevent further injury. The 6'6" crutches I'm using are okay but hurting my back. This is the only scooter I've found that lets your leg rest at 24" above the ground. It didn't feel super stable in the beginning but after a few minutes I was zipping at high speed around the house. It's expensive but worth it to avoid further injury.
This Is The One!

I had surgery that required me to be non-weight-bearing for six to eight weeks. Crutches were not going to cut it so I began to research knee scooters. I even tried four different models before making this purchase (I live near a medical supply store). I bought this scooter based on the reviews and knowing how most knee scooters handle from my trials.
This scooter is significantly better than every one I tried.
It is more stable than any scooter I tested.
It is sturdier.
The hand brakes are excellent.
The turning radius is sufficient.
It folds easily if you pay attention to how you assemble it.
It goes over really big bumps in the sidewalks.
I can use it in our local park on the unpaved grass and ground.
It has a nice, sturdy, roomy carry bag on the front.
It can go from 0-60 in 2.7 seconds.
My wife thinks it's sexy.
Okay, those last two are lies, but all the other stuff is true. Just don't even bother with any of the others. If you think the big, knobby tires are overkill, you're wrong. The smaller wheels on other scooters have trouble with the smallest of bumps, stones, cracks, etc. These tires go over really big obstacles with ease. I even got off some pretty sweet jumps with it. Pedro can vouch for me.
Seriously, this is the best scooter, hands down. I highly recommend it.

Love the tires!

I love how secure I feel with these tires under me. I just wish the front ones were out a tad farther away for my foot to be able to step with a natural step vs have to go outside the tire to keep from hitting it. I like the indentation in the knee rest too allow for a more comfortable fit, but it would be THE best scooter, to meet its price tag IF the knee rest had an extremely thick foam padding layer on top of it. I purchased the Vive gel pad to go with it and it retains its shape where my knee is creating a semi hard rest for the leg/knee. Make that one change and you're cost meets your product.
I will say that even though it's all terrain, and it handles it much better than the skinny, hard wheels of others bar none, any terrain outside of asphalt or concrete is a challenge, so hold tight to the handlebars for safety... slight dips and bumps in grass can lean it quickly. Great all terrain.. just need to fix that cushioning to be an awesome.

Pros: great stability around the house and outside. There's a handheld break lock, rubber tires, felt really secure using it inside and out.
Cons: I bought this for a comprehensive foot surgery and tried it out ahead of time. I'm glad I did. I had a PT friend take a look at me using it and on it. The seat needs to go down another 1/4 to 1/2 inch, otherwise it threw my hips and pushing leg into a stressful position that hurt both hips after a few minutes. I didn't want to drill it. I contacted the company for a shipping label and sent it back. It's a great scooter if you're not petite.
I ended up buying an all terrain Knee Rover which my doctor suggested (check the seat height 15-17" inches before you buy!) it's has four very stable rubber wheels. It was perfect for stability for the first few weeks post op. However long term, the wheels are a bit big to maneuver and has left some black scuffs on my tile floors and bedroom rug (easy to get out) I'm doing a lot Austin Powers back and forth to get out of spaces. I use it inside right now but will probably get another Knee Rover with smaller wheels so it's easier to get into narrower spaces in my home.
