I bought this originally to replace an off-brand video capture device, which always produced a poor quality video. From the beginning the Elgato CamLinkd provided superior video and performance. The included software also was easy to use. Literally days before the 2 year warranty was up, the unit began to fail. Elgato/Corsair was extremely easy to work with and very efficient in resolving the issue by sending me a replacement. Great quality and a solid warranty period - couldn't ask for more. I have recently purchased a second CAMlink to allow multiple video feeds. Highly recommended.

I like this card because of the small compact size. It works well however I've had three and the oldest of the three failed. I suspect the others will too. The produce works well with Sony cameras, which are the only cameras I've used with it.

I love Elgato products. I have many, and buy tons of their gear for other livestreamers. This is one that I don't love quite as much as the others. My primary issue is that when I used this product, I was constantly needing to un-plug and plug this back into my PC. It really was a pain in the rear; enough that I was forced to buy another companies internal PCIe 1x card. I no longer have to cycle anything; my mirrorless just fires right up in OBS.

I bought this to connect my Sony Mirrorless camera to my laptop for remote podcast recording. Almost every other camera capture card on the market is limited to 1080p resolution. The last one I bought said 4k on it but it simply meant that it received 4k footage fine - it downgraded all incoming footage to 1080p.
This Delgato camcard both captures 4k and outputs 4k on the other side. I don't think there's another product that does this at this price point.
It also did not require me to download any additional drivers or do anything other than simply plug my camera in and turn it on. Very pleased.
