I replaced my Jeep's gas cap cover with a locking one and the one I got had a terrible lock on it. It was difficult to operate even when it was new. But the cover is great, so I got one of these locks to replace the frustrating one and it's been great.
It wasn't just slap it in. I had to manipulate it some, but the lock mechanism is intact and works very well. We'll see how it does in the Winter, but I don't expect any issues.
