This is the right solenoid for a mechanical 6.5 turbo or non turbo injection pump. It's a quality product and lasts a long time. The insulators are quality built, unlike the china ones.

Picture attached is of one of the cheaper solenoids. They are rubber cases instead of hard resin like these Flag units made in Germany. The cheap ones will go bad and even possibly short out like mine did. Installed the Flag solenoid on my 82 6.2 Detroit and it works perfect plus the new gaskets are great

Very good replacement. Comes with all gaskets needed. Replaced about 2 months ago and still working very well. Definitely needed the top cover gasket. So far I would buy this again if needed.
