Surprisingly a lot of room (21cf size)

We packed 2 adult camping chairs, 1 lg tent bag, 4 sleeping bags, tarps, 4 pillows and 2 backpacks. As the picture shows we still had room left! My only suggestion would be to upgrade the tie down straps as the plastic snap clips made me nervous at 65mph although they held up just fine. Overall very pleased with this! Good thickness, seems well stitched together, we didn't get any rain on this trip so we can't speak to the weather proof capabilities.

Thought the bag would be a bit more ridged but it's just a bag. Did a test run to work and found it catches the wind and lifts, making a perfect wind block!
Unless you have an air dam or deflector, I wouldn't recommend this in the open air flow.
Construction of the product is very heavy and tough, along with the straps and snaps. Zippers are covered too, making it pretty water tight. Very large foot print makes it usable for anything.
So, other than the attachment and wind resistance concern, this product is ok.

We are car campers with two dogs and all the camping bells and whistles. We needed an affordable solution to carry stuff on the roof of the car. We turned to Amazon and product reviewers to find this roof top cargo carrier. This was a brilliant purchase! We stored a Costco storage box (the large black and yellow one) which held our inflatable boat, additional stored items were a tent in its bag, two sleeping bag rolls, and two Kingcamp chairs in the bag. The cargo bag was placed on the roof and opened up for loading. The straps of the bag can either wrap thru rooftop luggage bar or go thru windows of car to secure. The bag is rugged and well made. Unfortunately, not water proof. The Velcro front flaps don't hold up when driving up and down mountains. I drove from MO to WA through the mountain passes and lots of thunderstorms. I even tried to use 100mph tape to keep the flaps down but the 10mph-26mph winds kept whipping them back up. Zippers we're towards the back, but the bag in the front and one on the side were pretty soaked by the time I Unloaded the car. Luckily I read the reviews before packing the bag about waterproof issues so I was prepared. The only thing I had to toss was a shoe box that disintegrated from the rain getting inside one of the wet weather bags.
Whatever you put up there, put the waterproof items up front and non waterproof to the middle and back to keep them dry.

The carrier was exactly as ordered, loved it. Traveled well without any loosening of straps. Also fit 4 suitcases.
I do have an issue because water got inside. We drive thru several hours of rain. This is not fair of me to post this because I'm still traveling and have not had a chance to see what they might have to say.
