I recently converted most of my stereo component connections to toslink where possible, or digital copper if not, and this has made a very noticeable improvement in sound quality for all my digital sources such as CD, MD, DAT, and even a laptop, iPod, and iPhone via bluetooth/toslink devices. I already had a LiNKFOR 4-port toslink switch in place for this, but all of its connections were completely used and I needed to add a 2nd DAT deck to my system. I liked the quality and feel of my existing LiNKFOR 4-port switch so much that I automatically purchased a 2-port switch from the same manufacturer to dedicate to and switch between my two Sony DAT decks. I was not disappointed, it has a similar substantial feel about it and it was of course very easy to set up and use. The complementary toslink patch cables that come with these units (one per unit) are very helpful and much appreciated. I highly recommend both the 2x1 and 4x1 LiNKFOR toslink switches.
