The new version is completely different in all aspects, size, capibilities, different panels. Supposed to be better, but different.
So, the two I already bought, can never be matched for more matching panels, my next choice for Solar Panels will be from a different manufacturer. One that can keep selling the same panels for a few years at least, I had planned on adding panels as I go. No longer going to use HQST Panels due to this reason.
Panels are good quality (this version at least) seem to produce the proper amount of power. But discontinued. Along with my being a customer of theirs.

nice size for RV install

Generating power in the summer is easy. Winter, not so much. These are providing me with the data I need to optimize my permanent installation before I commit to concrete and steel. Small, light, and cheap and they provide enough power to exercise a couple of microinverters and a dtu.

These panels produce good power but the terminal cables are on the short side compare to Renogy panels. So if you want to do 3-series, you cann't have more than 6 inch gap between the panels otherwise the connectors will not reach. Hence i gave it 4 stars.

These were the most cost effective solar panels available on Amazon I think. That may be different when you read this but currently I think it's the case. I bought 4 during covid, then bought another 4 recently. They are all rated for 100 Watts, with a very small difference in open circuit voltage. All panels checked out and landed within open circuit voltage listed on the panels. Connected with 15 foot bougerv solar wires and connectors into 2 MPPT controllers. Wired in series I believe. Can't remember right now. With properly rated wire between the controllers and the battery, we are still getting 5 - 600 watts out of this setup, max. I expected much closer to 800. We are going to try a series/parallel setup next to see if we can get closer to the 100 watt value of each panel.
I'm not disappointed with them. They are cheap solar panels. If you have a premium of space - buy nicer ones. I knocked off a star for the lackluster performance. I will come back later if the series/parallel setup proves out to be much more efficient but I doubt it. That being said - they didn't come with mounting brackets so figure that into your cost. They are very light but seem well made. I have no complaints at this time, based on my expectations. It's just that under load they don't perform at 100 watts with my specific setup. Install was done with an electrical engineer, so I have no doubts they are properly wired up.
