Couple of cons for this system, and they are minor so far, is that you have to cycle through all the channels to view the ones that you have devices for (I have three, one for inside, outside and swimming pool). The other is that I wanted to be able to pull in the temperature data into Alexa but haven't managed to do that successfully yet.
Other than that I have had the system for a few months and like it very much.

It took some persistence, patience, but it's working great now

After reading all of the reviews, I was hesitant to order this thermometer. I'm technical, have installed security systems and multiple network devices with no problems, but the setup and lack of clear instructoins created challenges that required me calling Ambient Weather to get resolution.
1) Console would not connect to WiFi: Ambient advised to criple the 5 GhZ network on my modem. No problem, called Xfinity, got their help, changed the password on the 5 Ghz network so it wouldn't "find" the network .
2) Couldn't get the exterior sensor working despite changing the channel. Ambient Weather advised to keep channel 1 open for a weather station (I don't have) and put the pool thermometer on channel 2, and the exterior sensor on channel 3. After doing that, I powered down everything, and powered up the console first, then the 2 sensors.
I was then able to connect via wifi as well as able to setup an account in Ambient Weather.net so I can see all 3 devices remotely.
I was ready to throw this unit back in the box and return it to Amazon, but knew it was a good product and with a little bit of perseverence, I'd get it working....
I'll now be looking for new sensors to add to the console

Great product, great fun

I bought extra sensors and added my weather station to the internet. I also joined it to Alexa.
I have the pool sensor tethered to the side of my pool because it sits very low on the water and interferes with my robot skimmer. The sensors top out at 140 degrees F. That's all I have to say in terms of caution.
I live in Florida so I like to monitor my attic space. It gets up to 135 degrees up there. Humidity is also a constant concern. I also like to monitor different rooms. I have a big house that's spread out and the sensors all communicate clearly.
The app and website allow you to name the sensors. Unfortunately, the Alexa app needs work. When I ask Alexa what the pool temperature is, she reads ALL the sensor temps AND then follows up with all the humidities for each sensor. It does use the custom names, which is nice. But if I ask for the pool, that's all I need. Plus, you have to say, Alexa, ask Ambient Weather what the temperature is. That's bulky. I don't have any other temperature hardware connected to Alexa, so it should default to this device.
Another issue was that even though I put in the battery backup into the main receiver, when I unplugged it, it "forgot" who it was and how to attach to the internet, so you'd better write down all your setup info in case you ever have to move the receiver.
The memory has only two choices. Today's high and low temp and humidity OR 5 day hi and low. I would like all-time high as well.
Good instruction manual, great customer support. I can't wait to expand the system. Hope it lasts!

Customer Service Has Been Great!

UPDATE: Nine months after purchase, the floating sensor began transmitting temperatures 2-5 degrees higher than normal. I contacted Customer Service at the company directly and they sent me a replacement under warranty. I was very happy about that!
Thirteen months after purchase the monitor began freezing up and locking. I again contacted Customer Service. To my surprise then sent me a new monitor. Again, I was very pleased!
A week after getting the new monitor the floating sensor went bad. When I examined it I discovered that the rubber gasket had come out of place. I believe that this was likely my fault. So, I ordered a replacement from Amazon.
------
Last summer we bought a much less-expensive temperature sensor for our hot tub. It worked great for months, but finally gave out. I hated to spend this much money on a new one, but since it offered the ability to monitor temperature remotely I decided to give it a try.
As pointed out by other users this unit is a little tricky to set up. The instructions are included, but not always 100% clear. Eventually, however, I figured it out. By using the Ambient Weather app I can now monitor the temperature in our hot tub, as well as two rooms in our house.
The floating transmitter stays in our hot tub, which is located just outside of our kitchen window. The receiver picking up the signal from the floating transmitter is only about 10 feet away, sitting on our kitchen window sill. The other included sensor is in our living room, which is about 35 feet away from the receiver in the kitchen. I've never lost signal from these units.
The real question is how long the unit will hold out. If it lasts a very long time, then I will be satisfied. I will update this review later.

RTFM - The setup instructions are in there.

First go to Wunderground and make your account there, copy down your PWS info. (station name and passkey)
Once its powered up and blinking Green, using your phone, connect to it via WIFI -- it should be a 192.168.1.1 address.
This is where you conenct your House Wifi and passphrase as well as your PWS info.
After that ill be solid blue.
-------
Devices need to be on their OWN CHANNEL. e.g: Pool thermometer on channel 2, the temp and humidity monitor on channel 1, the Main panel has its own built in Temp and humidity labeled "IN".
-------
after that it should report back to Ambient weather dashboard as well as Wunderground every few seconds. The dashboard also reports battery level -- i might setup a few IFTTT's to get notified if battery levels are low send a txt message.
