My hard-shell bonnet hair dryer broke after several years of use. I ordered this soft bonnet to replace the hard shell. This bonnet hair dryer claims to be compatible with most hair dryers, but I don't think so. It required that I used my blow dryer to hook up to the fabric hose, which was not easy. I found that getting the bonnet to stay in place was an issue due to it moving around a bit. The under-chin snaps were difficult to snap into place at times. Once I got the bonnet all set the heat from the blow dryer could be felt coming through the air pockets. It never seems to blow up to look like the picture on the box, so it stayed flat. Overall, this is a bonnet dryer I would use if I had nothing else.

The media could not be loaded. There may be a little bit of a trial and error period, but so far so good with this product. I used this for the first time today and it seems like it will be a time saver.

The easiest way I've learned to do my hair is to wash it, put some products in, and then put it in a braid while it's still fairly wet and just let it air dry until I can eventually take it out to have crimpy/wavy hair. I naturally have wavy hair but if I let it air dry on its own it gets very large and frizzy.

Typically, I would take a shower early in the day and then wear my hair in a braid for that whole day, sleep on it and take out the braid in the morning. Sometimes I don't want to wait to wear my hair down a full day after wash day and bought this hoping I could just speed up the process.

I've only used this once so far and it took way longer than I was first imagining but it did achieve the results I was looking for. It took about 2 1/2 hours but the waves are more defined and less frizzy than the way I've been styling it and all I had to do was put this hood on and wait for it to speed dry as opposed to air dry. 2 1/2 hours is way better than about 24hrs on a longer braid wearing air dry day.

I put this on right after I would have normally braided my hair and went on with my day, but when I do it again I will wait longer to actually put it in a braid so there's less moisture to start with and hopefully that will speed up the process a little. I also started it on the low airflow but medium heat setting and eventually turned it up to the higher airflow setting on medium heat and it was fine. I also started with the heat protector thing that covers your ears and then eventually gave up on it and just tightened the hood without my ears inside it and the heat was fine without it and made it feel less like I was wearing a giant hood and was just laying there watching a movie with a little extra white noise from the blow dryer. The warmth was very comforting. I wish the tube that connected to the blow dryer was longer so I could have put the blow dryer on the floor beside my bed instead of right beside me on my bed while I laid on my side watching my movies, but it's not a big deal. Just would have made it quieter and would have felt like I was just laying in bed watching movies and not styling my hair.

I turned off the blow dryer to check the moisture every 20 minutes and even after I took the braid out after 2.5 hours it was still a little bit damp in the back where the braid met my scalp but I kinda just gave up and wanted to see what it looked like since I was just testing this really and it was mostly dry.

I'm looking forward to trying it again and waiting a little longer to put into a braid before wearing the hood. I think next time I'll also start it on the higher air flow setting right from the start also because that seemed to help too and would probably cut down on time also.

This might take one to two tries to get use to putting it on your head but I got the hang of it by my second try. It does take a while to dry your hair but works well and I can sit and watch TV with subtitles while I wait.

I have been using this once a month. I apply a protein treatment to my hair, put on a conditioning cap, and sit under this attachment for about 30 mins.

Pros: Hooks up easily to my hair dryer. Stores neatly away in a cute bag. I love that they included a piece of fabric that you can put over your scalp line, ears, and neck to prevent your skin from getting burned. This thing actually works!! It gets hot!

Cons: This thing actually works!! It gets hot! Lol. Be careful. I had to find a method that worked for me so I wasn't burning my neck or ears, and it took some practice.

When I read reviews, some folks noted that that this attachment burns or melts. I have not experienced that. In all, I am satisfied with this purchase and it has helped my hair routine without buying a large or expensive hair dryer that will take up more space in my house. Happy customer.

I will also say that I don't use this to dry my hair completely, so I have not applied it for longer than 30-40 mins at a time. If you want to sit under this to achieve a fully dry head, I don't have any advice for you, and it might take several hours!

I absolutely love this product. First time I used it and I'm hooked. Actually wish I would have gotten one sooner! I would have never imagined how quickly and thoroughly this could work. It blew my mind and my hair dry!! No frizz. No creases or weird spots. No wet pockets that didn't get dry enough. I did 15 min on medium warm. Then left the bag on for about 5 more min after I turned off the heat. It worked wonders!! My head feels great. My hair is so soft and bouncy. Everything was completely dry but nothing felt like it had just been dried. You know with that thick hot frizzy fried crunchy feeling? No more of that for me! It felt like I never even got it wet in the first place. So comfortable and so easy. My hair is the happiest it's ever been and so am I!
