I'm a huge fan of writing reviews for crappy items on Amazon. But this is not one of them. I bought another drone for my seven-year-old that was aimed at kids and it was a complete piece of garbage. Then I did my research and I found this one. So far we are very pleased. The battery life is good. Learning the remote control is simple and my seven-year-old loves it.
The only challenging part is reading through the little booklet in calibrating the thing if something goes wrong. I like how it came with some spare blades. I don't like how it's super tiny and the battery compartment doesn't close all the way. But it's all good.

This exceeded my expectations, it simply works right out of the box. Turn on drone, turn on remote, left stick down until drone blinks to connect, right stick down and out to calibrate, hit the launch button and go. It is easily effected by ceiling fans or outdoor breezes etc. but in still air is incredibly easy to control. Amazed by the technology for the price! You need AAA batteries for the remote, the drone has 2 rechargeable batteries and a simple charger included. Great fun!

Tough little drone. Fun to fly. Good for beginners and fun for more advanced pilots. Works best indoors, but can be flown outdoors.

First one I purchased wasn't responding as well as I had expected, but I was contacted by the vendor and they sent me a replacement.

I am truly impressed with the customer service provided by Potensic! I have purchased and reviewed many products here on Amazon, but this has been by far the best experience ever!

Now to the A20 review:

It is fun to fly! Setting it up is easy, unlike other drones in this price range.

It actually has a small "on/off" button on the rear of the drone located above the plug terminal. While this might seem trivial, it is a very nice feature. Other drones in this price range have no on/off switch and automatically turn on when you plug in the battery cable. Having the switch, in my opinion, prevents you from constantly having to pull on the battery cable to turn the drone on or off.

The controller communicates with the drone quickly. That makes pairing and setup extremely simple. I seriously don't think it can get any easier than this!

If you are new to drones, my suggestion is to first fly the A20 in a large indoor place. The rear of the drone shines a small red light, front has a light green light.

In terms of flying, I found that it works quite well. The cool thing is that the round protectors surrounding the tiny proppelors protects it from most common impact damage. After a few landing/take-off practices I was able to land it on a small target every time!

Speaking of landing, there is a small button on the controller that gently and automatically lands the drone. If you are flying and start to panic (thinking it is about to crash), just press that button and it will land gently! While I used this button several rimes when I was first learning how to use the A20, I now land it well using only the joystick controllers.

In terms of battery life, it will last for around 5 to 6 minutes. While it would be nice to have the option of a spare battery, I'm ok with just charging it as it doesn't take very long to completely charge again.

I work with several students and have let them use the A20, some have never flown a drone before. Within only a few minutes they are flying the A20 and controlling it very well! Compared to other drones I let them use, they all preffer the A20 for its simplicity of use and its responsiveness. I am in the process of starting a drone club for middle school students, and I am considering purchasing a few more A20s. The kids love them, they are easy to use, durable and safe to fly indoors!

While I am very happy with the A20, I am even more impressed with the outstanding customer service provided by Potensic! I wish all other vendors on Amazon were as professional as Potensic!

If you try to learn the control of a drone, hoping that one day you would fly FPV drones at high speed with an instinctive feel for the controller, there is no better drone than this. As I understand, there are multiple brands with various price points of the original "Firefly" drone, this just happens to be the one I bought.

It is great because it is small, responsive, and tough, with three speed settings. Even more, it is so much fun! The lights (front white, rear red) make it easy to fly even in less well-lit areas without worrying about orientation. I do not get the whining of reviewers about the battery life. Most drones do not stay powered beyond 4-5 minutes in this category. They are not DJI motherships with 30 minutes of flying time. That is why it comes with three batteries. (If I have any problems with it, it is that you can not buy additional batteries: the only 100mAh 3.7V batteries available have different connectors, and I had to return them.) Overall, it does take practice, practice, practice to get better at flying drones well and fast and not only doing it with a simulator. I can not recommend this drone enough!
