I am 5'4 and 145lbs with curves - I bought my normal underwear size (L) and they fit my curves well. The length the lace legs add did not ride up. They were nice and light, and sexier than other shorts - and still comfortable at first wear. We decided to go for a quick walk rather than Uber to a theater after dinner this week, and the walk ended up be 2 miles at a very fast pace for me -- I was comfy and chafe-free when we arrived (note I did pair these with anti-chafe powder gel)! I was looking for lightweight smoothing shape wear because I live in Florida and wear a lot of dresses. Because I'm of a certain age, I wanted to just smooth out my waist/tummy/hips under these dresses. These definitely do the trick. I especially like the wide waistband so I don't feel "cut in half". I recommend these in warmer weather to smooth things out and allow dresses to just glide down the body.
