It's a bit wobbly to set up. Once you lock the prongs into place , it's pretty stable. I would like to see the tripod lock open.

This holds my seasonal canvas prints with ease...the "holder" is deep enough and you can stand the easel in a more upright position. many easels lean back too far....this sits atop my frig and easily accommodates my 10" and 12" square seasonal canvases. my only draw back is that it takes a bit to get the legs in the right place as they are very loose....
