The only issue we have had is that it is thick and we have to thin it, but that means we are not paying for extra water. The usual feeding formulas have High Fructose Corn Syrup, Soy Protein, and Canola Oil as the ingredients after water. We try to avoid all of them. We are very pleased to have found it.

Mom had a stroke, then a brain hemorrhage a year later. She had a feeding tube, but was still able to eat orally, albeit crushed food. She suddenly decided to stop eating. After 2 days of forcing her, and her health taking a noticeable decline, we started using Liquid Hope. After 3 weeks, it was basically a miracle. Her health returned, even started talking again, and she started eating orally again. Was this stuff the cause? Cant give you a clinical answer, but I truly believe this was it. You could smell how good this stuff is when you open the bag. Just add some water to thin it out so it makes it down the tube.

I was using an organic formula that was good but had 16 grams of added sugar per box. They wanted to sell it to both tube feeders and by mouth feeders who might use the formula for just part of their nutrition. That doesn't work.
So I was glad to find this. I had to water it down too for tube feeding, but not a problem.
It is actually not too much more expensive than comparable formulas. Kate's Farm organic 1.4 which has 16 grams added sugar per carton is $72 per 12. Liquid Hope is 83 per 12 cartons.

Yes. You will need to thin this down with 5 or so ounces of water and stir it well. We use bone broth to add even more nutrition. And gravity feed by hand every four hours. The quality of the organic ingredients and the nutritional value of the well designed, balanced whole food meals is truly life saving and health restoring. How anybody can justify feeding someone a corn syrup based liquid diet (jevity- not this one!) that the hospitals promote is beyond me! That other stuff seems health robbing and negligent. Please consider " liquid hope"!if you want to regain your health.

4 stars because of the egregious price point, and it's too thick. We have to dilute with about 8 oz water to get it to flow out of a kangaroo bag. And $135 for a case of 24 seems a trite absurd.
That said, when we changed from the "˜nutrin 1.5' prescribed in the hospital for my dad (Dimentia and swallowing issues, so he has a PEG tube) his thinking cleared up some, his mobility increased, his balance improved and he slept less. That's what eating food does, instead of eating chemical soup.
I may try another formulation from this company, but at these prices, we can only afford to supplement this, unless Medicare decides they're willing to pay for it.
