Ok, this is my first refurbished computer purchase. So far I am satisfied. The first thing to know is that these appear to be about 5 years old and just out of warranty (at least mine is). That said, I was able to register the device at Lenovo and download driver updates. Initial startup was without issue and suggested a clean (already registered) Windows 10 load. Before I did anything else I downloaded Norton 360 and Malwarebytes. Norton came back clean but there were two items found on malware scan and quarantined. I then used the Cipher command to triple clean all blank space on the hard drive, just in case. After that, Windows updates run and Lenovo driver updates. The casing does not appear to be 5 years old (no smell and only minor wear indications). Inside the unit is clean and dust free. The hard drive and CPU fan appear to be new and the RAM likely is as well. (Appears to have two more spare slots if you want to add more RAM). With an I7 processor and confirmed 512gb HD it is fast and very quiet. (So much so that I had to check to make sure the fan is running). OVERALL: You are getting a $900 to $1000 computer for a third or less. With refurb you are making certain sacrifices. but at least so far they do not appear to be serious. Unless it dies in the near future unexpectedly, I anticipate getting 3 to 5 years out of this unit, perhaps more. (The Gateway Quad Core it replaced lasted 13 years and was still running but so slow that it was time to upgrade).

I got this for our small church projection system and it works beautifully. It came with two display ports, a VGA out and quite a few USB outs. I was worried that because of a lack of onboard HDMI, I would have a problem projecting to the InFocus projector; but wonder of wonders, there in the packaging a small item I did not at first recognize...but then a DP to HDMI Adapter Converter!!! Projection is achieved!
Now I am getting an additional monitor/TV together with DP Adaptors.
A great buy indeed!

No DVD drive, All components upside down meaning the audio jack is where the headphones jack is, the USB ports are upside down (everything must be turned upside down to fit or plug in), monitor plugs of course, upside down). You get the gist. I could have lived with plugging things in upside down but, no DVD drive and it it recognizes the second monitor as a CD in every USB drive... come on.

After going through all of the Windows set up, etc. (because you never expect shh .. .. iitt like this. That why I'm angry.

Son't get me wrong, Lenova's are outstanding super good. Have an M92p that was blazing fast. For one month over a year (learned the hard way - you gotta get a NEW SSD and clone the one they send you and have it on "stand by" or just replace what's in the machine. DO IT!! OR...

You may be following my amazing journey buyijng the M93p next with the "Upside down, you're turning me"...lol.

Oh, I will update this review when, they make it right... I realize we are all human but upside down, come on.,,lmao. No mouth (DVD), ... again, lmao.

Update: Five Stars. CS Gentleman was a scholar and gentleman. I did a refund as my m92p was fixed with an image backup for reboot to a new ssd (one that came with it failed in just over a year). These are phenomenal machines and really warp speed fast... Just save yourself a major headache by upgrading to a brand new SSD as you do not know at all, when the one supplied with it will fail. And, it will fail).

Typical new SSD will last years if not decades depending on the size (suggest 1 TB), some warranties are atleast 5 years. Back your she...utt up>

Again, great machines, super fast, outstanding super good Customer Service. Five Stars.

P.S. They would be CraZy good if they would just charge a little more and put a new SSD in the machines (you would think someone would figure this out)??

Product, price, shipping were wonderful (really satisfied with the unit).

However, when starting to move files from backup, found that front USB drives did not work. Went down rabbit hole of thinking drivers not updates, spent some time with Amazon support (which was fine, but did not resolve issue). Went ahead and opened the box, found USB drive wires, traced to board and found that connector was not seated into the board (connector was in socket, just not seated) and, once I seated the connector, USB drives worked fine.

Thought box was to have internal DVD drive, but did not. An external drive was enclosed, but no connecting wire. Amazon support offered a credit (which is fine, thanks, no problem) so that I could apply to wire or external drive.

Point is that QC of product did not catch the USB issue prior to shipping, but I'm thankful that I was able to easily resolve this without sending back or spending time on phone or email chat, or going to third party repair for something that turned out as easy fix.

Oh, my for $279 I got me a fast working refurbished Lenovo computer. First I had a very hard time connecting to my home WIFI. After one hour and googling it, I didn't realized it doesn't have a built in Wifi adapter. I was like "What"? I was ready to throw it across the room. How can an Intel 7 with 16gb memory computer can't connect to the internet? It just shows me to connect it to an Ethernet to my Router. But my Router is downstairs which means I had to run an Ethernet cable from the 1st floor, run it through the stairs and connect it to my computer at the 2nd floor. What an inconvenience! That means I had to buy a 50 foot cable. Well, just my luck. I happened to have a Comcast Xpod Wifi extender that has a RJ45 port. All I had to do is buy a 5ft Ethernet cable which I was able to buy on Amazon also. Two days later my cable came, connected it from the computer to the Xpod. Lo and behold, I'm connected to the internet. Sooo happy. And it only cost me $2.45 for the cable. I wish the description on the listing would say "Needs a Wifi Adapter" to connect to the internet. Anyways, problem solved.

Second problem, I have a hard time using the DVD rom. I tried to install MS Word and Photoshop via disc. It's NOT working. Now, I'm getting really frustrated. It's one problem after the other. I really don't want to return it as it's huge and shipping it back will be a great inconvenience. Lucky me again, it worked after 20 minutes. I now have MS Word and Photoshop installed on my computer.

Overall, I still give them 5 stars. Why? For $275, I have a computer that works "zoom, zoom". Works perfect. It doesn't lag, it's not slow as there's no bloatware on the system. Upon clicking, apps open in 1 second. Thanks to the reseller of this computer. They have us in their minds to have a computer that's not bloated with unnecessary apps. I highly recommend this computer and seller. For $275 I have a computer that's works to my liking. I just hope it stays this way. Well, I still have 85 days left to return it if it turns into a clunker. So far so good, I'm happy as a clam. Oh by the way, I wasn't offered anything to do this review. I gave this review based on my experience with the product. Honest and simple :)
