Works exactly as I hoped, with three minor annoyances.
1. The display has plenty of room to accommodate a larger font. I use the combination of speed, time and compass. The speed and time are OK, but the compass could easily be twice the current size.
2. User manual has impossibly small printing. I had to scan it and view the scans on my computer. The information is contained is also very brief. It took a while to discover how to achieve the display I wanted.
3. Please hire a professional tech writer to redesign the manual and post it with the sales page.
4. Does not use polarization--clearly visible through polarized sunglasses.
To protect the device from the sun and make it easier to read, I mounted it in a small plastic tray. The display has good contrast, easy to read in daylight. ; Does not use polarization--clealy visible through polarized sunglasses.

Excellent unit, but not for travel

I'm glad about this unit. It is easily installed. It gives info with apparent fonts that are effortlessly read on driving. It's a helpful esp for old cars with a low or deep dashboard with no digital speedometer. I give four stars for two things. The unit is mounted by a double adhesive tape, which is not strong enough and cannot be transferred easily between cars. That means you cannot travel with this unit or put it in a rental car. Worth mentioned, it comes with one extra adhesive tape. Also, the unit does not show the location on any screen, latitude, or longitude, as written in the above title. You get only the time and the direction, no GPS location. It gives only the number of GPS satellites. I hope next versions care of easy mounting in multiple cars, for travel and care about adding location coordinates.

This has a old plug type then what is picture..it's is for a actual for a original cigarette lighter connection,not for newer models vehicles..Plus will fit in newer vehicles but hard to push in and take out..I'll check with vendor and see if I can get a updated cord connection

The functions of the device all work good. It does have a bit of a delay from the actual speed, but I expect that as it is a calculated speed from the GPS satellites. It has stuck to the dash well with that 3M double sided tape, just have to see how long that lasts. The display is easy to read, day or night and it is easily customized to show what information you want. The power cord is just long enough for me to have the display centered on top of the dash and cord runs to side, then down and under the dash to an outlet. So far I an VERY pleased.

The operating instructions has print so small they can barely even be read with a magnifying glass, and confusing. Hot wire cord is way too long, therefore a tangled mess that can't be shortened with normal automotive electrical connectors. I believe that the speedometer on my regular GPS is more accurate.
