These things are overpriced and don't last near as long as they should IMHO, so I'm a little jaded but I bought it anyway and I will give a fair review. The reason for subtracting a star is that the fan unit doesn't fit cleanly onto the cartridge. I had to force it to snap in, fearing all the while that something would snap off. Might still happen down the road (each time I refill the cartridge) or might "wear in" but good for now. The unit performs well and is a welcome improvement over the idiosyncrasies of the 2.0. I especially like the analog/digital hygrometer. Very stylish and a nice touch!
