Had to get my instructions on youtube otherwise I would have been completely lost. Once I got machine set up and going it worked surprisingly well. Hand cranking was easier than expected. I am completely satisfied with this product.

I bought my first "leather patcher" in 2017. It came in a box that was disintegrating, packed in cosmoline, ratty paint, rough castings, overall poor fit and finish. there was one bearing in the entire machine.
Jump forward to the Ironwalls machine - it came well packed, the frame is now cast aluminum with a good paint job. Real bearings. Zinc finish. Information still lacking so expect to go to YouTube for the howto, especially if you need to set the timing. It is not difficult but you need to know how.
A little increase in price but a huge improvement in quality. Great product.

The thing I appreciated most was the packaging. It was well thought out. Machine in plastic wrap, on it's side in foam contoured to fit the machine, lightly oiled with a light oil and packed into a cardboard box with like 1/2" thick walls all around the perimeter. Then that was packed into a second cardboard box. Well done and quite unlikely to be damaged in transit. Arrived in perfect condition. The case iron frame was painted and that was well done. The arms for the needle, walking foot were chrome plated. No rust anywhere on the machine. Will be using soon.

You are getting a complete machine, and it was shipped in timely matter. It will be a bit oily and seem crudely made , but for the money it's a working machine! If you never used one before, there isn't any manufacturer support and bare bone instructions in the box. That said, their is a Facebook group and a ton of YouTube videos to help you. Do NOT take apart without getting instructions and training if you want to sew right away. It's not easy to time and Aline the machine without instructions, but if go to Facebook group and you'll find instructions to download there. Once you figure how it works, it is a good tool for hobby types. I happy with this vendor as far as price, and shipping was reasonably quick.
